Alphabatization

I removed one duplicate name, "Klaus Schulze Composer", and changing the link for Cusco to the page name suggested on Talk:Cusco.

Added Heinz Strobl AKA Gandalf and added a stub to the wikipedia pages.

Also ended up not understanding the alphebitization of the page, but fixed my own mistake. --Zanthra 03:39, 9 February 2006 (UTC)

Narrowing scope

I'm publicly stating my intention to clean up this article to only include musicians with Wikipedia articles. The article's scope is too broad otherwise. I may not stick around forever to keep the redlinks and self-promotion out, but I'll watch it for at least a month. I would appreciate if any of the people who were arguing that the list should be kept because of how useful it is stick around and help with the maintenance. --adavidw 20:01, 30 January 2007 (UTC)

Oh, and there needs to be some indication on the article as to how things are alphabetized. By first name or last name? Any preference? --adavidw 20:23, 30 January 2007 (UTC)

reply to narrowing scope

I don't understand why you want to eliminate musicians who do hot happen to already have Wikipedia articles. There are plenty of valid active musicians who are not yet noted in articles. Why do you feel that in order to be worthy of listing on this page there must already be a related article? I could list many new age musicians who sell well and are known by the fans of this kind of music and don't have Wikipedia articles yet, but there's no use in doing that since new articles could appear any time.

I'm not saying you are wrong, just that I don't understand your choice to clean up the article according to that standard. If you like, please elaborate on your reasoning. Thanks Parzival418 08:34, 24 February 2007 (UTC)

I don't have time to go into much detail. However, you should probably read the deletion debate to gather my views and those of others on the subject. adavidw 05:43, 30 April 2007 (UTC)
I've read the debate you referenced, but I still don't understand your concern that redlinked artists should be deleted from lists. Seems to me, redlinks are one way the community uses to alert editors that an article may be needed.
While I don't concur with your deletions of the redlinks, I'm not reverting your edit. No-one else is here discussing it right now, so maybe it's not a big issue. But I thought I should at least mention that there is not currently a consensus that only musicians with articles should be listed. --Parzival418 Hello 06:41, 30 April 2007 (UTC)

Graal as a New Age music artist

The band Graal from graalmusic.com is not proven to be a New Age music "artist", the reason user 194.145.203.139 included it in the list is due to a forum war. Unless proven with citation, Graal doesn't belong to this list. --Jaraics (talk) 07:15, 23 September 2009 (UTC)

Why then did you add Rondò Veneziano back to the list? they don't seem to be new age music artists either. I agreed with this edit. Jenafalt (talk) 15:23, 23 September 2009 (UTC)

Please add Steven Halpern to the list

I'd like to report an omission of Steven Halpern (http://www.StevenHalpern.com), a prominent New Age musician from the list. Steven helped to pioneer the New Age music genre in the '70's AnnieDanberg (talk) 20:05, 19 June 2014 (UTC)

Please add "Michele Mclaughlin" as a pianist and composer. She is a popular new age solo pianist who has sustained a long and successful career.

Not done as Michele Mclaughlin does not have her own article, which is a requirement for inclusion in this list. - Arjayay (talk) 15:25, 24 August 2016 (UTC)
Having checked further, Michelle McLaughlin exists, but is just a redirect to List of Playboy Playmates of 2008, not about a musician - Arjayay (talk) 15:29, 24 August 2016 (UTC)

How do we report an incorrect link (to the wrong person)?
