With respect to the WP:1RR restriction:

Clear vandalism of whatever origin may be reverted without restriction. Also, reverts made solely to enforce the extended confirmed restriction are not considered edit warring.
Editors who violate this restriction may be blocked by any uninvolved administrator, even on a first offence.

After being warned, contentious topics procedure can be used against any editor who repeatedly or seriously fails to adhere to the purpose of Wikipedia, any expected standards of behaviour, or any normal editorial process. Contentious topic sanctions can include blocks, topic-bans, or other restrictions.
Editors may report violations of these restrictions to the Arbitration enforcement noticeboard.

Kuril islands edit

These are a group of island seized by the USSR from Japan at the end of WWII, ethnically cleansed and then annexed. There is no peace agreement between Japan and Russia to legitimate this, so the dispute appears to be continuing military occupation. West Papua would be inside of Indonesia's recognized territory. This doesn't make it morally correct, but it would not qualify as a military occupation. IrisArgo (talk) 01:00, 24 April 2024 (UTC)Reply

Guantanamo Bay edit

Hello. I believe that the Guantanamo Bay Naval Base belonging to the United States would qualify as an occupation. It is controlled by the United States military, despite being in Cuba.
