There is plenty of information on this topic throughout the internet. I started a history section, beginning with Lundy, and if there are editors who want to help improve this recently created article, here are two sites which they will find useful:

Inclusions

In my opinion this list should not include fantasy currencies - ie, currencies for which no tangible coins or banknotes have ever been produced. Accordingly, I propose removing the fantasy inclusions currently listed - unless someone has particular objections. --Gene_poole (talk) 23:35, 13 May 2008 (UTC)

Elsanor, Kemetia, Sabotage, Tycho, Voodice - these are all internet fantasies as far as I can tell. They do not exist in the real world and have not produced coins, banknotes or indeed any other tangible product.

Coral Sea, Ladonia, NSK, North Dumpling - these have a more tenous existence in the real world (apart from NSK which is an artist's collective) - but they have still not produced either coins or banknotes.

In both cases we can't list any of them here because their "currencies" do not actually exist in any tangible form. --Gene_poole (talk) 22:40, 14 May 2008 (UTC)

Absolutely. I would place it right of the flag column. However, we would need to decide on a system for what coin to add, otherwise there could be an endless debate of opinion. I don't think the matter of which coin/banknote picture we decide to include in this list is likely to generate any controversy. Republic of Free state?

Does the Republic of Free state actually exist? Could not find anything, most searches are about Free State (province), a province of South Africa. This is the only page that can be found with the name on info column. 93.106.190.6 (talk) 21:51, 24 December 2015 (UTC)

Column review

I'm looking at cutting out some of the columns to make the table easier to verify, without losing any really useful information. I've ralready removed the Image column, per the (somewhat temporally spaced-out) discussion above. The columns, with my proposals:

Micronation. Keep, duh.
Flag. Keep. Normally I'd say this sort of thing is best dealt with in the article, but (a) a bit of colour breaks up the wall of text nature of a table, and (b) it might make the entries slightly more easily recognised.
Name. Keep.
Symbol. Remove. It doesn't really add anything to the article. No one is going to be searching for the "currencies" based on their symbols, and they're pretty hard to easily confirm from this article. Best dealt with in the individual micronation's article.
Value. Remove. As above, really. As these "currencies" are, in reality, almost entirely fictitious, it's not like we really need to know here what notional value they've been assigned.
Type. Keep. This serves as a quick visual check that the currency should be listed (given that the consensus is currently that only tangible currencies, with real coins or banknotes, should be listed.
