List of international cricket centuries at the Central Broward Regional ParkList of international cricket centuries at the Central Broward Park – Park changed names sometime in the last year. Discussing only because I don't know the convention to follow for things like this, where the events mostly happened when the park had its former name. I recently moved Central Broward Regional Park to Central Broward Park. davidwr/(talk)/(contribs) 01:09, 13 November 2020 (UTC)Reply

Oppose full name is essential IMHO. Gameshowandsportsfan2007 (talk) 15:16, 14 November 2020 (UTC)Reply

Why? Your opinion will count for little, if anything, if you don't give a reason. Phil Bridger (talk) 15:41, 14 November 2020 (UTC)Reply
@Gameshowandsportsfan2007: It looks like the actual full name has changed in the last year. If you want to be technical, the current "full name" of the venue itself is either "Central Broward Stadium" or "Central Broward Park & Broward County Stadium" (it's unclear from published sources if the cricket stadium is a separate entity or if it is one in the same with the park). The name of the Wikipedia page for the venue is now Central Broward Park. The old name, Central Broward Regional Park, still exists as a redirect. davidwr/(talk)/(contribs) 17:46, 14 November 2020 (UTC)Reply

  • Support with caveat the name is fine, but can we please drop the "the" from the target - it's unnecessary and wouldn't be used in most well-written sources. It can just be List of international cricket centuries at Central Broward Park. There are issues with a number of similar articles created by editors who don't have English as their first language which insert "the" where it's unnecessary.
After we've done that we can redirect the article to the article about the ground - the trend has been to keep articles like this only if they have sufficient (15/25, that sort of ballpark) numbers of centuries. Blue Square Thing (talk) 08:38, 16 November 2020 (UTC)Reply
  • Nominator comment on proposed dropping of "the" - sounds good to me. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Davidwr (talkcontribs) 16:09, 16 November 2020 (UTC)Reply
