Comments edit

They're translated as "Motorway" by Highway administration of Turkey. Highway is all of the road network owned by this administration. OnurTcontribs 17:39, 18 February 2008 (UTC)Reply

Maybe somebody can add total km's of the highways to the article? I don't think anybody would be using the names of the regional roads, but some numbers can be useful for people. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 88.254.117.251 (talk) 20:35, 14 May 2008 (UTC)Reply

To dot or not edit

In the first paragraph under List of highways in Turkey#State roads, it shows template road numbers like "D1XX" and "D5XX". However, the rest of the article shows a period (full-stop) after the "D" (e.g. "D.550").

Additionally, the articles for the individual roads are named without the period (e.g. State road D550 (Turkey)), yet, within those same articles, the period is again included in prose as well as the Infobox (e.g. "D.550 is a north to south state road...").

Which is correct? Shouldn't we pick one and stick to it? —[AlanM1(talk)]— 04:10, 19 September 2012 (UTC)Reply

New motorway section edit

I've separated the motorway section of the article into a new one (called: List of motorways in Turkey). All the other languages were specifically about the motorways not all the roads. So, I have also moved them (except the Hungarian and Hebrew ones, which seem to talk about all the roads).-- Iñfẽstør  T• C• U 11:00, 18 June 2013 (UTC)Reply

Accuracy edit

I admit that roads in Turkey are way out of my comfort zone, but still I have doubts about the accuracy of the edits done by IP 78.179.etc. More or less at random I checked the D.250 Manisa-Turgutlu. Google Maps told me quite quickly that this is not a road between Manisa and Turgutlu but a road between Menemen and Turgutlu. So I can to the conclusion that or Google Maps is incorrect, or the info added by the IP is incorrect. A thorough check is necessary! The Banner talk 22:38, 22 January 2014 (UTC)Reply
