More entries coming edit

I have identified 38 U.S. entries that need to be made here, and over the next few days I will try to add them. First I will go over and standardize the 24 entries here that are not under the "United States railroad museums and tourist lines" Category. Simesa 16:35, 30 September 2005 (UTC)Reply

I've lost track of how many I added and modified. I've sent e-mails to every railroad that I added. Right now, I've got one e-mail out to BC Forest Discovery Centre, which I'd like to write an article for but the website has too little detail for even a brief stub. OK, I've gleaned the internet and put up a stub for BC Forest Discovery Centre. Simesa 02:10, 5 October 2005 (UTC)Reply

Is it really noteable? edit

I have put this artcile up for deletion for two reasons, firstly it doesn't cite it's references, secondly, is this article really noteable as i think this artciel is below the standard of wikipediaRobin99 22:11, 9 February 2007 (UTC)Reply

First, you haven't (as I write this) done anything except put the {{AfD}} tag onto the article. You have missed the next two steps in the AfD process. Please read and follow the instructions for listing an article at AfD if you haven't already. Second this article is clearly notable and it is easy to cite multiple [{WP:RS|reliable sources]] that show its notability. I agree with you that it requires proper citation, but the way to achieve that is to put a {{sources}} tag on the article, not try to have it deleted. German version vs English version edit

I recommend

1) the translation of this article into German 2) the translation of the German version of this article into English 3) combining the info, as the way it is currently is the content is totally different. The German article contains info the English doesn't and vice versa.

Considering the space the German heritage railways take up on the German version of this article maybe the creation of a seperate article "heritage railways in Germany" might make sense. —The preceding unsigned comment was added by 87.163.183.181 (talk) 07:00, 17 March 2007 (UTC).Reply

Linking to trains that no longer run? edit

I just finished an article about Samtrak, which was a tourist line in Portland, Oregon. It is no longer running. Would that preclude linking to it from this article? PerlDreamer 23:54, 16 September 2007 (UTC)Reply

Historic trains running or no longer runner can be listed. Can be marked as "defunct"... seems to be the guideline. LanceBarber (talk) 05:05, 17 January 2008 (UTC)Reply
