Article's scope

Just to point out that the article's scope is clearly stated to cover "deposed" heads of government/state who are allowed to go into exile "following a coup or other change of government, allowing a more peaceful transition to take place or to escape justice". While there may be various interpretations on the scope of what "deposition" and "other change of government" do mean here, this is clearly not a list of "people who at any point in their lifetimes were heads of state or government, then left their countries a couple years later because of reasons unrelated to their ouster/resignation/etc.". One of the latest examples has been the attempt to add Juan Carlos I to the list just because he was King until 2014 and he left the country in 2020, despite such flight having no connection with his abdication or with a regime change of any short in the country (further, he is not legally barred from returning to Spain, so he could legally return any time he wishes without any consequences even if his son, the current King, disagreed with the decision). At this rate, we are short of considering any former head of state/government going to live abroad for any reason as some short of "exile", which is absurd. Impru20^talk 10:13, 14 August 2020 (UTC)

Impru20, I agree on that. This article need a trim, and eventually being renamed as to avoid confusion. Its just difficult to come up with short article names regarding this subject. Dentren | ^Talk 11:39, 14 August 2020 (UTC)
