Need Some Flagging Please

The article reads "Some of these are actually set in the city; others were shot in Pittsburgh but set in another real or fictional location.". Can we flag which ones are which? ClarkBHM 20:00, 14 March 2006 (UTC)

Agreed. Also, what exactly is the criteria for inclusion here? For example: Land of the Dead was predominately shot in Canada with very little shot in Pittsburgh. Should that really qualify as a film shot in Pittsburgh? IrishGuy ^talk 22:42, 6 May 2007 (UTC)

Agreed. Although I am the chief contributor to this page I do not believe I included Land of the Dead, however I think they were considering that the skyline shots were used, similar to the Steven Segal flick Fire Down Below. Marketdiamond (talk) 10:11, 6 November 2010 (UTC)

Merger Proposal

Looking at the Pittsburgh (film) page, it looks like that article should instead be a section in this article. --Battlefield1181 (talk) 03:27, 28 October 2010 (UTC)

One is an article on films set or filmed in Pittsburgh the other is a glorified disamig page with films called "Pittsburgh" either in production or in releasing it. Because of this I think its a bad idea to combine them. Marketdiamond (talk) 10:14, 6 November 2010 (UTC)

Are there any movies from the "Pittsburgh (film)" page that do not meet the requirement for being in the "List of films and television shows shot in Pittsburgh" article? Interesting idea, it could work, however the main page currently catagorizes them by year, we could list these films twice in both the chronological section and a special section with "Film with the name Pittsburgh in them" and then link the "See Also" on the Pittsburgh article to that section, however it would only make sense in programming wiki not much sense on the page per se (some films listed once, some twice etc.) Curious idea though, willing to listen to any creative solutions here for the main film page. List Clarification

Are we going to allow music videos in this list too? If so, will we need a title change? I ask because "Black and Yellow" was added to the list, but it is neither a film (in the classic sense) nor a television show. --Battlefield1181 (talk) 03:40, 6 April 2011 (UTC)

Good point, love to hear more views on this, mine is that although this started with the neat little boxes of TV (little screen) and Film (big screen), television presently defies an easy definition, 500+ channels, TIVO, DVR, pay-per-view, access to out of market "tower" stations, etc. so in this fluid definition television is anything that isn't produced for a film audience IMHO, in the next few months we might need further feedback since TV is nearing its traditionally defined end (youtube, hulu, netflix online anyone?). For now I am of the view that if it has been commercially marketed or produced (even PBS) outside of the big screen it qualifies for the TV section, but hey in a few years we might laugh at this definition like I do my parents bell bottoms yearbooks. Proposal to split.
