Just a thought, but maybe this should be renamed "fictional rabbits and hares"? If only because a lot of fictional works don't seem to worry about the difference. Daibhid C 11:21, 12 September 2006 (UTC)

Beware deletionists

I could see a Wikipedian stumbling across this page and nominating it for deletion. I just want to pre-emptively make a case for it to remain: I was looking for a list of rabbit characters in video games, and lo and behold, Wikipedia has the exact list I needed! ~MDD4696 20:07, 28 November 2007 (UTC)

There was/is this one computer game rabbit/hare but...

I can't remember who/what is is. There's a demo of the game out there. Basically you run around is a full 3-d environment with anthro characters and you fight bandit rabbits and can do sneak attacks. This article desperately needs references. I know that many of the characters are wikilinked to their own pages, which is fine, but what about such as:

• Bob Marley, a rabbit reggae singer in 'SHOOT THE MOOSE'
• Bugg's Bunny in Cartoon World
• Zombunny; a dumb, motionless rabbit featured in the English 1990s TV show Transylvannia Pet Shop
• Rabbits are occasionally seen in Ziggy, most commonly invading Ziggy's vegetable garden.

None of the above have any references at all, making it impossible to verify authenticity, spellings etc. Loganberry (Talk) 17:12, 24 March 2009 (UTC)

Article in need of creation and interpretation.

I thought this is a spectacularly good article. Totally outside of my expertise, and I don't speak German. Do you have any suggestions as to whom I could recruit? Rabbits in the arts, German Wikipedia Thanks. Discospinter says: "I agree that it's a good article to have in English, to expand on Rabbit#In culture and literature and List of fictional hares and rabbits." Please also take a look at Three hares, which I have worked on and which is about as close as we get. Just a thought and a gentle request. Rename

Here is another suggestion. Rename "List of fictional rabbits and hares" to "List of leporids". That way rabbits, hares, jackrabbits and cottontails have a name in a nutshell. Deltasim (talk) 06:47, 28 September 2012 (UTC)

Cottontail and Grandfather Bunny

As a kid one of my favorite books was Dubose Heyward's The Country Bunny and the Little Gold Shoes just because of how it depicted Cottontail's genius in using her own children to demonstrate why she should be an Easter Bunny and for Grandfather Bunny giving her the golden shoes so she could deliver the Easter Egg to the child on top of the mountain before daylight. I was saddened to see they weren't on the list of literary rabbits and have added them to the list. Hartley Hare

Video media section clean up

I was looking at the "Video media" section, and it's a bit inconsistent. There are some animated characters in the regular "Film" subsection. Either these should be moved to the "Animation" subsection or maybe the "Animation" subsection should just be merged into the "Film" and "Television" subsections.
