Emperors or Kings or Rulers edit

Based on the description in the article and the Wikipedia page of the persons listed here, is it correct to call this a list of emperors of Tibet? Or would it be more appropriate to change the word emperors to something else? --Chadsnook (talk) 07:04, 27 February 2009 (UTC)Reply

I'd say you're right, it "List of rulers of Tibet" would be better. Bertport (talk) 14:07, 27 February 2009 (UTC)Reply
Well it is called the Tibetan Empire, so perhaps emperor would be appropriate. Engti (talk) 07:12, 3 April 2009 (UTC)Reply

Also, Why does Yarlung redirect to this. Yarlung is a valley. Engti (talk) 07:12, 3 April 2009 (UTC)Reply

To very briefly try to answer the above questions - the kings of the Yarlung region began conquering other parts of what we now call Tibet (variable as that might be). Under Songsten Gampo large regions were conquered and these were greatly expanded under the rulers who followed him. Even though "Tibet" shrank at times it remained far larger than most medieval kingdoms and included a range of different peoples - so I believe "Emperor" is the term of choice. Absent any opposition, I will merge this to Yarlung dynasty and cover all details in depth. CFORK. TrangaBellam (talk) 08:10, 24 December 2021 (UTC)Reply
