Deinonychus sold for $12.4 million

As far as I can tell, the "Amphicoelias brontodiplodocus" specimens were sold in a private sale, and therefore do not count w.r.t this list, which only covers public auctions, good shout with Hector though, I've added it to the list. Hemiauchenia (talk) 17:53, 19 May 2022 (UTC)

Sounds right. Appears three specimens listed as on auction in Paris here (Suuwassea, Prosaurolophus, and Tenontosaurus) later ended up in Institut de paléontologie humaine somehow:[5][6][7] FunkMonk (talk) 14:37, 20 May 2022 (UTC)

Rows are never a problem, table width and structure are, the columns on the first table, there are way too many. It's a poorly constructed table and not user-friendly. Govvy (talk) 07:48, 25 September 2023 (UTC)

The number of columns is not significantly more than List of most expensive watches sold at auction, which is what I based the table formatting off of. Except those are well constructed tables, the ones here are not, cell size and data in cells are chunky and lack uniform and heavy on prose. Where-as the watches page doesn't have that problem. Govvy (talk) 21:43, 25 September 2023 (UTC)

Given that you regularly work on tables (which you assumably approve of) which consist of a colossal eyesore of red, green and yellow rows, I think you're judgement about what constitutes a "good table" is frankly worthless. Hemiauchenia (talk) 21:49, 25 September 2023 (UTC)

It might be possible to give the information currently in the Location column in the Auction House column instead (i.e. Bonhams, London) and give information about the material in the notes column, which would eliminate two from the table. My web browser is at 90% zoom. I do not have a screen reader, but even on mobile the table seems fine to read. Just requires a little bit of swiping, which isn't difficult at all, and certainly not an "accessibility issue". The Morrison Man (talk) 13:34, 26 September 2023 (UTC)
