As pointed out by the uploader of Op.3 to IMSLP, there's arguably too much divisi in the Andante and Allegretto for string quintet pub. in 1914 for it to actually be for string quintet; sometimes string quintet means string orchestra ("double winds, timpani and string quintet" for rather small orchestra without brass, even if the strings are a small string -section-...), though, and that makes most sense under the circumstances. The one recording of the work- by an actual string quintet (with double bass) (in the 2010 recording of the 5 string quartets and other chamber works) - only manages this by ignoring some of those divisi instructions, it seems.
