List of celebrity appearances in video games

This list shouldn't really include sporting personalities (due to the sheer number of sports video games) or where a celebrity is playing a role or voice-over. Marasmusine 10:52, 22 March 2007 (UTC)

Does the celebrity appearances mean themselves recreated? Or their voices added into the game? Megadeth1539 18:01, 11 October 2007 (UTC)

It is not meant to be a list of celebrity acting / voice-over roles, but actual celebrity appearances. So, for example, we don't list Vin Diesel in The Chronicals of Riddick game, because his likeness and voice is being used for a character, not himself. It is a list of "X appeared as him/herself in game Y". Marasmusine 08:43, 12 October 2007 (UTC)

Merge to new article

This article and List of artists who have portrayed themselves in music games should be merged into a single article, titled something like List of people who have portrayed themselves in video games. There is no reason to separate music games just because they are the most common. And if that alone isn't notable enough, perhaps List of people who have portrayed themselves in media, including film and TV and similar. ♠PMC♠ (talk) 23:20, 21 August 2017 (UTC)
