Is this list partially or fully complete? --Tahren B 11:10, 5 February 2007 (UTC)Reply

No list of caves are complete -as there are protocol about not identifying some caves due to vandalism and other security issues..SatuSuro 11:14, 5 February 2007 (UTC)Reply
Not to mention that there's probably over 100,000 caves in Australia. This list should really be seen as a list of important caves in Australia. hellboy 00:05, 6 February 2007 (UTC)Reply
In fact critera should be something like publicly accessible and managed caves only - no unmonitored caves should be listed SatuSuro 00:07, 6 February 2007 (UTC)Reply
I disagree, because caving enthusiasts don't just visit "publicly accessible and managed caves" (show caves), they visit wild caves too. We might not need links to them all, but having a list of them is hardly a big deal. Chris Gray 01:35, 18 February 2007 (UTC)Reply
No-one knows the names and locations of all named caves in Australia. The only people who know the names and locations of all named caves in each state are the nominated State Caves Recorders for each state. The information simply isn't publically availble, so having a list of them is impossible, big deal or not. Hesperian 04:31, 18 February 2007 (UTC)Reply
I've added the better known caves, which also appear on the WASG website anyway. So if the Speleos are comfortable with it, I can't see any harm, considering that none of the "wild caves" are actually given the locations for anyone reading this to go and visit. Locals will know where they are anyway, and it's usually been the case that locals teenagers might be responsible for most of the damage in /western Australia due to the remote locations of many of these caves. petedavo 11:15, 5 March 2007 (UTC)Reply
