Needs a sentence to clarify scope I think edit

To say whether DACS included or not as I see has Climeworks now. And if so presumably to say only includes capturing at a point rather than trees etc. Chidgk1 (talk) 17:10, 8 June 2022 (UTC)Reply

Yes, please clarify the scope, I am confused myself. Needs to be clear how this is different from carbon sequestration too (for lay person readers). EMsmile (talk) 09:58, 9 June 2022 (UTC)Reply
Er I was hoping someone else would do so because I am not sure what is best myself. Perhaps best to include DACS artificial point sinks (or whatever they are called) for now and they could be split off later if this list gets too big? On the other hand doing that would make the scope different from Carbon capture and storage Chidgk1 (talk) 16:54, 9 June 2022 (UTC)Reply

Just seeing this article for the first time. It seems to me an arbitrary collection of "projects", a bit like List of energy storage power plants before the major restructuring that happened some time ago. I propose to move this article to List of carbon capture and storage plants for clarity (not clear what "project" means, is it built? Or is it a plan? Is it an industrial facility or a reforestation program?) and list only operational or under construction plants in a table, ordered by size. I see no reason to exclude DACS plants. We can have a column of the table detailing what type of carbon capture method is used. --Ita140188 (talk) 20:53, 17 June 2022 (UTC)Reply
I think the term "project" is wider than "plants" and therefore better in this case, as some of these projects might be proof of concept or smaller research projects, but still important. Having a table format could be nice but potentially a lot of work. Perhaps not justified. EMsmile (talk) 10:18, 20 June 2022 (UTC)Reply
