Criteria edit

Is there any particular criteria to end up on this list? Some of the somewhat less notable places (such as the Northbourne Flats) seem odd choices. Rebecca 07:19, 21 June 2006 (UTC)Reply

The criteria/sources are listed at the top of the page. Many are on offical registers, some are on the RIAA list as significant works in a particlaur style.--Peta 02:15, 11 August 2006 (UTC)Reply
The hyperlink "John Andrews" links to the worng John Andrews. There is not yet a page for John Andrews RAIA (the Architect). I'm collecting information to write one, but until then someone needs to figureout how to unlink the link and create a new link to a yet to be written article. Couldn't figure out how to do that other than to kill the hyperlink altogher. I can't work out how to edit this properly so thought i'd mention that Calthorpe's house was built in 1927. It's a really interesting place I remember going there as a kid on a school tour. soure for the date and more info:http://www.museumsandgalleries.act.gov.au/calthorpes/index.asp -- --Henry
@Rebecca, Petaholmes, Bravetheif, Cowdy001, and Grahamec: This article needs serious thought and revision. It's a dog's breakfast at present. Places need to be sorted by date of completion. The description is too detailed. There are no references for each item. A small image for each item would add value, etc. Perhaps the list needs to be diffused along the following lines:
And then this article moves from List of buildings and structures in the Australian Capital Territory to List of heritage buildings and structures in the Australian Capital Territory. If an item is not on one of the above heritage lists, it should not be included. Another alternative is to follow the model adopted by Sydney houses that are on various heritage registers. This provides a once-off snapshot of each house that is considered of national, state, or locally significant. Or just do away with this list altogether and manage via categories.. Thoughts? Isn't saying that it's still open to traffic a bit of an exaggeration at best? Le Messor 00:18, 24 January 2007 (UTC)Reply
