editUpdating Brewery List
editThe list of breweries in Michigan is currently quite limited. In fact, there are many breweries that I have visited, and a couple I visit frequently that are not listed. This is my first post on a talk page, but I'd like to work to get the list improved. It appears that the list is currently only including those breweries which have an established Wikipedia page to link to. However, MichiganBeerBlog has compiled a rather comprehensive list of breweries in Michigan. How can we go about incorporating this and improving the Wikipedia list?
Thanks! Rjbergen (talk) 03:18, 22 February 2015 (UTC)
- Some lists are explicitly limited to notable entries, i.e. there must be a corresponding Wikipedia page. This list, in its present form, makes no such distinction. As long as you can provide a citation of a reliable source for each item added to the list, it should be fine. Note that Michigan Beer Blog might not qualify as a reliable source. - Would this list of breweries maintained by the Michigan Brewer's Guild be a reliable source? Rjbergen (talk) 14:26, 14 April 2015 (UTC)
Keweenaw Brewing Company currently sells six different beers in four states (Michigan, Wisconsin, Minnesota, and Ohio). It is a favorite of the Upper Peninsula of Michigan and I'd like to see it on the list. I also believe that it is notable enough (August 2nd 2015)
