The above articles should be deleted. There are too many entries to correct or delete the erroneous claims. The sources for the claimed sexual orientation for these individuals is frequently inadequate in the extreme. Many cites are to a website http://www.glbtq.com which is a fatally flawed attempt to identify as many people in history as homosexual. When the lists are referencing this site, they list the most notoriously unreliable celebrity biographers such as Darwin Porter, Marc Eliot, David Bret, etc. These articles are nothing but gossip. I was under the impression that Wikipedia had higher standards than this. Please immediately delete these four articles. If that's the case, then why not simply expunge the entries with the poor sources and salvage the rest of the article?Asarelah (talk) 17:39, 7 September 2011 (UTC)Reply

Identify

edit

What is that supposed to mean "identify"? Use the words "I am bisexual" or "admit" to liking men and women? Who knows what the word means. This list used to make sense and serve a purpose. Now it is a horrible mess. Whose idea was it to make it risible? Scrap it now, it's become pointless. 62.64.214.168 (talk) 18:57, 27 July 2008 (UTC)Reply

"Identify" is used to clarify the significant distinction that exists between "has said themselves that they identify as bisexual" and "is rumoured to be bisexual by the gossip mill". Without it, people keep adding names that don't belong on the list. Bearcat (talk) 22:06, 27 July 2008 (UTC)Reply

I can see no value to this list. Many of the male names have openly identified as gay, not bisexual. Freddie Mercury had a heterosexual life but then came out as gay. The same is true of kenny everett. Simon Hughes is listed, but even his Wiki entry includes quotes which allude to him being gay. No mention of the word bisexual. Further, the list contains many names of porn actors. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 193.90.61.225 (talk) 12:11, 26 September 2008 (UTC)Reply

Kurt Cobain

Come As You Are, the authorized story of Nirvana, published while Kurt Cobain was STILL ALIVE, states that he was misquoted by the Advocate. He stated that he "probably could be" bisexual, not that he was a practicing bisexual. Asarelah (talk) 01:17, 17 July 2010 (UTC)Reply

Greta Christina

edit

I got a source for her self-identifying as bisexual. See here: [1] She is an American atheist blogger, speaker, and author, as her Wikipedia page says.

But I don't want to sign up with Wikipedia for an account. Can somebody add her to the list for me? Thanks so much.108.36.70.221 (talk) 18:42, 15 July 2015 (UTC)Reply

Hans Christian Anderson, Prince Andrew of Greece, Marlon Brando?

edit

The Wikipedia articles for Hans Christian Anderson, Prince Andrew of Greece, Marlon Brando don't confirm bisexuality. There is some outright speculation caused by one quote for Hans and Marlon, nothing for Andrew.

Oh yeah, this is Wikipedia, not necessarily internally consistent. A person who is not internally consistent is lying, confused, mentally challenged, or schizophrenic.
