Taxonomic orders covered edit

There reads: Lists by taxonomic order (Non-passerines)
Why "non-passerines"? There is no explanation why they're excluded. And does that mean passerines are the only order missing from the list? 85.217.38.184 (talk) 06:25, 29 June 2013 (UTC)Reply

That (Non-passerines) seems not to be there anymore. And apparently passerines are not the only one, since I counted orders from bird and got about 40, while this article has 23. So, close to 20 orders are missing. 91.154.188.185 (talk) 07:16, 9 July 2018 (UTC)Reply

Domesticated birds edit

I doubt that the number of Mallard ducks listed here is accurate because it doesn't seem to include domesticated ducks, most of which are a sub-species of Mallards. I would also suggest that the example of a more common species of the order Galliformes be changed to chicken, which is vastly more common than the Willow Ptarmigan (something like 1000 times the population) 2606:A000:112A:C0ED:59CF:213A:DD22:22C7 (talk) 21:25, 3 June 2018 (UTC)Reply

Article does not say it is just wild birds, so I propose adding domesticated birds, maybe in a separate section. FAO has data on chickens, ducks, turkeys, geese https://www.fao.org/faostat/en/#data/QCL Kim9988 (talk) 01:19, 28 May 2022 (UTC)Reply

Article title edit

This pages title is "list of birds by population." The article actually seems to contain an alphabetical list of taxonomic orders of birds, with a population estimate of two specific species per order. What's up with that? This isn't what it says it's supposed to be. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 71.89.24.41 (talk) 10:26, 9 September 2019 (UTC)Reply
