Size split? edit

Split - Article is over 100 kB, and should be split in half.--Jax 0677 (talk) 19:41, 21 December 2012 (UTC)Reply

The 100Kb recommendation applies to prose only, not to lists, tables, image descriptions, refs/notes, etc. The prose measures as just over 1Kb, that being the lead, meaning it isn't a major concern. If you split up a table too much, it becomes hard to maintain all the related "parts":
  • File size: 1082 kB
  • Prose size (including all HTML code): 1268 B
  • References (including all HTML code): 0 B
  • Wiki text: 156 kB
  • Prose size (text only): 628 B (103 words) "readable prose size"
  • References (text only): 0 B

Alsace & Lorraine in 1944 edit

Alsace & Lorraine in 1944: The American 3rd Army fought to decisive victories in Alsace Lorraine in November & December of 1944 -- before proceeding north into Belgium to attack the German Army south of Bastogne and to relieve the Americans under siege in Bastogne. More information later...47.215.180.7 (talk) 17:21, 30 December 2017 (UTC)Reply

See this article Battle of Nancy (1944), fought by the 3rd Army to encircle Nancy and force its surrender. This article also mentions an earlier Battle of Nancy in 1471, at which Charles the Bold, the Duke of Burgundy was killed.47.215.180.7 (talk) 17:42, 30 December 2017 (UTC)Reply
