Talk:List of banks in Africa

Major ovehaul

I am going to perform a major edit on this article, starting today. The two main objectives will be: (a) To create one list of inline references for the entire article and to put all other sources in one section called "External links", and (b) To ascertain the validity of the listed references, sources and links. Many of the links etc. are dead and need updating. The process is going to be meticulous and slow. It will take about one week to complete the re-write. Suggest reorganisation

To mee it seems not useful to duplicate the respective country-specific lists in this continent-wide list per country, by simply adding them into a longer list. I have reworked the List of banks in Angola but I do not want to maintain it twice. On the other hand, I would like to see here a list which concentrates on the global financial trusts, be them of African or more European, North-American or other home countries, and list them with all their tentacles spread into the various African countries. This is something which cannot be accomplished by the country-wise lists. Opinions? --L.Willms (talk) 14:00, 9 April 2012 (UTC)
