Contesting Deletion

First off, I've never tried to contest a deletion before, so forgive me if I am doing this wrong.

I am aware of concerns that this article may seem excessive. Therefore, I had decided to limit it to aviation museums with truly large collections.

If you really do believe that this article should be deleted, I would like to draw your attention to two other very similar articles. First is the List of aircraft at the National Museum of the United States Air Force. While I did create this article, I was simply moving content from the main article to a separate page because it was too long and took up too much of the article. Second is the List of aircraft in the Smithsonian Institution. While I have significantly improved this article, I did not create this it, so I think it stands to reason that I am not the only one who supports these articles existing. Furthermore, I would also like to point out that a large number of the aviation museum articles have similar listings of their aircraft on them.

There is also precedent on Wikipedia outside of aviation museums. There is a Catalog of paintings in the Louvre Museum, a List of works in the Louvre, a Collections of the Palace Museum, a List of rolling stock items in the UK National Collection, a List of artworks at the Indianapolis Museum of Art, etc.

I would suggest that if you want to follow through with deleting this article, given your rationale, you must go through and delete everything mentioned above as well. –Noha307 (talk) 08:17, 2 May 2017 (UTC)
