I am wondering if the above article now serves any purpose or should it just be redirected here? They cover the same ground and this one is far more complete. - Ahunt (talk) 14:40, 4 July 2009 (UTC)

F-35 Lightning II

I have removed the F-35 from the list of aircraft because Canada has not yet ordered the aircraft and still may not order the F-35. Use of serial numbers

The use of aircraft serial numbers in this article is as per Wikipedia:WikiProject Aviation/Registrations which indicates that they are not used in this situation. Except in certain particular cases serial numbers are for fan and aircraft spotting websites, not an encyclopedia. ScanEagle & Maveric

pre 1968

Why stop at 1968,why not all Canadian military aircraft. Or is there another list somewhere that could be linked from this article?188.65.183.52 (talk) 12:45, 10 January 2012 (UTC)

The article was original entitled List of aircraft of the Canadian Forces and so covered 1968 and on. The govt's reinstatement of the term Royal Canadian Air Force rather muddied the scope of the article, but I agree something needs to be done to address the problem. - Ahunt (talk) 12:58, 10 January 2012 (UTC)

Redundant list?

This list repeats much of the same information found in the List of aircraft of Canada's air forces, and to add to the confusion, the term "List of RCAF aircraft" redirects to that article even though this article includes "Royal Canadian Air Force" in the title! CF-188 counts

Redundant List.... again

This list repeats much of the same information found in the Royal Canadian Air Force#Current inventory (WP:REDUNDANTFORK). Since that page seems to be better maintained than this list. I propose to just remove this list and make redirect to that page. Ckfasdf (talk) 14:21, 15 April 2022 (UTC)
