Talk:List of Washington initiatives to the legislature

I-200 Wording edit

I have just changed the summary of Initiative 200. The new wording comes from the official ballot title itself. This was a point of contention in the debate over the initiative in 1997 and 1998. Certain opponents wanted the ballot to state that I-200 would prohibit affirmative action. That challenge was defeated. Now, ten years later, the initiative has passed, the new law is still in effect, and so is affirmative action.

I am hoping that this explanation will head off any edit wars. The previous summary misrepresented the word, intent, and result of Initiative 200.--Geometricks (talk) 12:42, 25 August 2008 (UTC)Reply

Merge Lists of Initiatives to People w those to Leglislature and Referenda? edit

Might it make sense to combine similar ballot measures such as Initiatives to the People, Initiatives to the Legislature, Referenda and similar items into a single list? Rorybowman (talk) 23:05, 9 December 2012 (UTC)Reply
