Does this page have sufficient worldview ? The word "overseas" in the title does not have much meaning for someone outside of Australia. Also, it might be confusing for some people as to what the abbreviation AFL means. Could it be called Non-Australian born players in the Australian Football League or Australian Football League players born outside of Australia ? --Rulesfan 08:22, 4 July 2007 (UTC)Reply

How about Foreign-born Australian Football League players? Canuck85 10:21, 30 September 2007 (UTC)Reply

Why edit

Why only VFL/AFL? Why not WAFL and SANFL?? ROxBo (talk) 12:02, 3 May 2009 (UTC)Reply

I'd be happy if the list was expanded to include WAFL and SANFL players, only problem is working out what to call the article. List of overseas-born AFL, SANFL and WAFL players is a bit too much. There are certainly many notable people who could be included ... Bruce Winter (Papua New Guinea), Robin Mulholland (Northern Ireland), Bill Walker (New Zealand) and Marty Atkins (England) for example. Jevansen (talk) 12:43, 3 May 2009 (UTC)Reply

Staying up to date edit

There seem to be several players listed here who have definitely played in 2014 but have earlier years listed as their 'last games'. If there is only ad-hoc editing going on to keep this info up to date, then the 'last game' column is usually going to be inaccurate to the point of being counter-productive. Perhaps there is some way to get this info routinely updated from an AFL stats site or such. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 59.101.5.181 (talk) 00:13, 1 September 2014 (UTC)Reply

germanies edit

quote: "West Germany (c) Now part of the Federal Republic of Germany."

the socalled West Germany already is the Federal Republic of Germany a country called West Germany never existed (some people called it that way to deferentiate it from the German Democratic Republic) - the Federal Republic of Germany was founded in 1949 and still exists (with a territorial change that happened in 1990 - but it did not become an other/new country just like when Hawaii or Alaska became part of the USA it stayed the USA and did not become an other/new country - there was just a territorial change) 91.89.242.173 (talk) 21:51, 30 March 2014 (UTC)Reply
