Talk:List of Ultimate teams

Untitled edit

Is it acceptable to create articles on these teams and others, say college teams? I'm asking in terms of wikipedia guidelines. Also, I think we should include a partial list of college teams here --Keflavich 16:40, 7 December 2005 (UTC)Reply

If they're notable, yes, if not, no. You might want to include a link to non-notable team webpages that have them. Mrjohn 10:12, 23 September 2006 (UTC)Reply

Order? edit

These should, well, probably be put into some kind of order. Maybe sorted into regions, then alphabetically within them? In fact, I'm going to start doing just that.—Preceding unsigned comment added by Fantusta (talkcontribs) 03:07, 6 October 2006 (UTC)Reply

I have alphabetised the ENG teams. --Ends Of Invention (talk) 11:00, 6 February 2013 (UTC)Reply

Sources edit

Can anyone add the source of where this came from? --Liface 03:50, 6 October 2006 (UTC)Reply

It's there -- the references links. Linking to each individual regionals tournament would be a little overboard, but a quick glance at the list of tournaments, you can find them. Fantusta 19:17, 9 October 2006 (UTC)Reply

Discotech edit

Someone just created a Disco Tech article, which is apparently the team at Michigan Tech. Why is this team listed as playing in the elite-level if they play at the college level? --Liface 08:37, 30 November 2006 (UTC)Reply

Fixed- I created the Disco Tech article. We somehow wrongly added our team to the elite-level list of teams. Sorry for the mix-up.

International edit

I added an international category to point to teams not from the USA. Frisbeelover 22:51, 3 December 2006 (UTC)Reply

Any opinions on how to turn this into a better list? Maybe create a subpage for UPA teams, and use this one for a more National-level (At WUCC, for instance)? Fantusta 06:38, 4 December 2006 (UTC)Reply

Regular Updates? edit

The true set of teams tends to vary year to year. It seems like it would be prudent to find someone for each region/division pair to keep it up to date. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 76.124.139.173 (talk) 14:52, 25 August 2010 (UTC)Reply

Team Name Links edit

Some team names link to the team's web site, some team names are not links. Shouldn't team names link to each team's Wikipedia article? User:Silver Slip 21 March 2015

Flag icons edit

There seems to be an excessive use and redundant use of flag icons per WP:TOOMANY in this article particularly among the latter entries. Perhaps there’s a way to reduce this for multiple entries from the same country. — Marchjuly (talk) 21:02, 1 June 2020 (UTC)Reply

General references? edit

There are what appear to be four “general” references added to the “References” section. These should, if possible, be converted to WP:INCITEs if they’re intended to support some specific article content as explained in WP:INTEGRITY. General references are sometimes OK, but it might be a good idea to “split” the section then and sort the references as suggested in WP:GENREF.

On the other hand, if these are really intended to be WP:EL instead, they should be placed in an “External links” section per WP:ELCITE. — Marchjuly (talk) 21:21, 1 June 2020 (UTC)Reply
