Original Syaoran edit

Shouldn't Original Syaoran be put as a main characer now? He's pretty much taken the clone syaoran's place ever since vol.15-16. I've put it there, but someone keeps putting him back in secondary characters. --Zackd06 4:36, 30 April 2007

I agree he's become a main character, but it's rather stupid to have two entries with the same name. Can't we just combine the entries for the two Syaorans to one? --KagamiNoMiko 19:47, 3 May 2007 (UTC)Reply

I agree on making him main character but not on combining two of them. Just differentiate them like "Syaoran (clone)" and "Syaoran (real)" or "Clone Syaoran" and "Real Syaoran". Those 2 are different and independent. Combining is not good and confusing. Nhl1988 19:48, 14 May 2007 (UTC)Reply

Cerberus in Rekord edit

Is this an official statement that his unsealed form is in Rekord as the multiple guardians? I try very hard to look at the guardians and draw similarity but to be honest I think it's a longshot assumption. Dinkybarrel 16:35, 24 June 2007 (UTC)Reply

I don't see much of a similarity, either. I've been meaning to remove that entry, actually... KagamiNoMiko 19:09, 26 June 2007 (UTC)Reply

Miyuki in Celes edit

Miyuki is also appeared in Celes Country (on chapter 160 pg.08) Celcius Chan 14:35, 4 August 2007 (UTC)Reply

Page name edit

I think this page should be renamed to List of characters in Tsubasa: Reservoir Chronicle. It's bulky, yes, but it follows the standard pattern. Just a proposal for the primary contributors, though. :) --Koveras  16:34, 19 November 2007 (UTC)Reply

Fei Wong Reed edit

In the part about Fei Wong Reed it says that he's a direct descendant of Clow Reed, but in the Clow Reed article, it says he's an ancestor of Clow Reed. Would it be possible for someone clarify this and perhaps cite it in order to alleviate confusion? -- Aoikumo (talk) 03:39, 19 May 2008 (UTC)Reply

Chi in Infinity edit

For some reason it was invisible. I added her as they have the other Chi in Infinity who is seperate from the one in Celes as they combine to let Sakura move on by herself and all that. Jam-Kiske (talk) 21:41, 16 November 2008 (UTC)Reply

Fay's character page edit

I used to help out with fay's character page updating it as each chapter goes from the book, why was it removed. I think its unfair other manga's and anime pages have the liberty of giving extensive information about their cast while XXXHolic and Tsubasa which many people put thier time and effort in putting in crucial information over the uears has been deleted —Preceding unsigned comment added by 72.220.135.245 (talk) 07:24, 29 March 2009 (UTC)Reply

Syaoran as a crossover character edit

Just wondering, if it is his parents are cross-over characters, then isn't the main character Syaoran not the actual cross-over character? AngelFire3423 (talk) 22:47, 9 May 2009 (UTC)Reply

Clow Reed edit

According to Chapter 220, the Clow who was king of Clow Country during the beginning of the manga was actually the same Clow in Cardcaptor Sakura. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 68.83.120.11 (talk) 14:38, 15 May 2009 (UTC)Reply

Crossover characters edit

As per User:Dinoguy1000's suggestions (found here), I removed the entire section. But here it is for people looking for that information:

List
Clow Country

The following characters are seen when the group return to Clow Country in the final arc:

Kingdom of Nihon

Note: The Province of Suwa is also a part of this world and initially appears in a book Syaoran opens in Rekord which shows Kurogane's past.

Selece Country

Note: Selece is also known as Celes, Ceres, Seles, and Seresu (from the Del Rey translation). The country itself is named after the Mashin Selece of Magic Knight Rayearth

Note: King Ashura (Ashura-ō) is based on the dead master of the Guardian Warriors of Heaven, father of the protagonist Ashura, in RG Veda. This Ashura is not to be confused with the Ashura who appears in Shura, who is based on Ashura the protagonist of RG Veda.
Japan (Modern Day)
Note: The white Mokona (who travels with Syaoran and the others in Tsubasa) is named Soel while the black one (who remains with Yūko and Watanuki in ×××HOLiC) is named Larg.
Hansin Republic
Koryo Country
Country of the lake
Jade Country
Ōto Country
Edonis Country
Shara Country
Shura Country (Shara's past)
Piffle World
Rekord Country
Tokyo
The Country that Clone Syaoran left in ruins
Infinity

Mika Kikuchi is voiced by Carrie Savage edit

Came across this in the description on Mokona=Modoki on this page, so changed it to "The Mokona are voiced by Mika Kikuchi in the Japanese and Carrie Savage in the English version", tried to keep in theme with the rest of the page, but if it's not it can be changed.

Uppercase instead of lowercase edit

There were a couple of uppercase letters in the middle of sentences, which I've swapped for lowercase in the Watanuki, Seishirou, Fuuma, Tomoyo, Ashura/Clow/Syaoran and Sakura, Subaru, and Kamui descriptions.

Li Syaoran and Li Sakura are not the Syaoran and Sakura from CCS edit

The theory of Li Sakura and Li Syaoran being the CCS versions of the characters was initially debunked in chapter 217 when it was revealed that Li Sakura had met and received the Star Staff from a middle school-aged Kinomoto Sakura (her seifuku is the same as the one she wears in the CCS manga's epilogue), who assures her: "Even without the staff, the cards are still here with me."

Chapter 223 further revealed that Li Sakura and Li Syaoran are, in fact, the reincarnations of Clone Sakura and Clone Syaoran. BloodRaevynn (talk) 06:45, 18 June 2009 (UTC)Reply

Even though the aren't the same people from CCS, they're still cross-over characters because the two use essentially the same personality, appearance, and relationships as their CCS counterparts. AngelFire3423 (talk) 09:50, 3 July 2009 (UTC)Reply

Fai/Fay's Name edit

The name should be Spelled Fai It was orriginally Fai in the manga it should be that way

It's prounounced like ai is in Kunai, With the I sound. Shouldn't we keep it Fai? Not Fay, Fay is how you pronounce Fei. --66.169.186.33 (talk) 12:27, 12 May 2010 (UTC)Reply

The Japanese character guide spells it Fay, so we've chosen to honour that. --KagamiNoMiko (talk) 07:15, 8 July 2010 (UTC)Reply
Apparently, this issue hasn't been resolved yet because it's back to Fai again. Which is it? Raisin56 (talk) 08:14, 21 December 2010 (UTC)Reply
Per the manual of style and naming conventions we have to use the English manga name which is Fai D. Flowright. A note was left in his section about the official Japanese spelling.Tintor2 (talk) 13:16, 21 December 2010 (UTC)Reply

Restore Syaoran's and Sakura's articles? edit

Should we restore the article for this character? Syaoran is quite notable and I feel that the rather small section in the "List of Characters" page would be expanded slightly and the information returned to its own page. This would also solve that page from being over-long. I reckon it should go to vote. ggctuk (2005) (talk) 12:57, 11 August 2010 (UTC)Reply

And what is the coverage by reliable, third-party sources like? A character isn't notable unless they have received significant coverage by reliable, third-party sources. —Farix (t | c) 14:04, 11 August 2010 (UTC)Reply
It seems on almost all other anime/manga character pages I have seen, the articles mainly source the series, its volume/chapter, as well as character books. ggctuk (2005) (talk) 19:18, 11 August 2010 (UTC)Reply
Just because there are other articles doesn't mean that these two articles should be restored. Receiving significant coverage by reliable, third-party sources is a requirement for all character articles. If there has been no such coverage, then the article will either be merged to a list, redirected to the main work's article, or in some more extreem cases, deleted. An article should not be mostly a plot summary or be based entirely on primary sources. —Farix (t | c) 20:41, 11 August 2010 (UTC)Reply

To keep from having to repeat this conversation in two different places and to bring this to a more viable place, I've move the discussion from the redirect pages to here. —Farix (t | c) 22:23, 11 August 2010 (UTC)Reply

ggctuk, it is quite difficult to bring back an individual character's article after it has been merged for not having enough critical commentary. If you can find multiple reliable sources which have critical commentary of the characters, the more sources the merrier, then they can be brought back safely, without the possibility of them being remerged. I remade Princess Nausicaa at the new title of Nausicaä (fictional character) because I believed Nausicaa was sufficiently notable. You might find the discussion at Talk:Nausicaä_of_the_Valley_of_the_Wind_(film)/Archive_1#Create_a_character_page_for_nausicaa.3F informative, especially the first draft I wrote of the article, which entirely focusses on development and reception of the character. --Malkinann (talk) 22:47, 11 August 2010 (UTC)Reply
  • Without "ammunitions" to prove that each one can pass WP:N in isolation of the Tsubasa: Reservoir Chronicle notability, i would say "No". Individual fictional character articles are among the hardest to do. --KrebMarkt (talk) 05:46, 12 August 2010 (UTC)Reply
