Robert Emmet
editI added Robert Emmet to the notable alumni, back when it was part of the Trinity College page, but now that I think of it he was actually expelled from the college for radical beliefs. I don't know wether or not to remove it though, because honestly I don't fully understand the term 'notable alumni'. Any suggestions?
- I believe the general rule is that Wikipedia treats anyone who attended any educational institution as one of its former students, 'alumni', or whatever else they are called, even if the attendance was only for one day. I have seen this spelt out somewhere as a policy, but I forget where exactly. Strawless (talk) 13:45, 6 September 2008 (UTC)
Science
editWhy no-one from science? Apollo Crua (talk) 14:46, 5 September 2008 (UTC)
- The scientists already in the list (such as Ernest Walton and William Molyneux) are included in the Academics, scholars, notable research section, but I agree that the page needs to be better organized. I have recently created some new sections, and we are going to need some more. You might like to create one for Sciences. Strawless (talk) 13:39, 6 September 2008 (UTC)
Okay, I've re-organised them, with people involved in non-specific or multiple areas at the end Apollo Crua (talk) 11:17, 8 September 2008 (UTC)
- As most of the 'Others' at the bottom of the page were in the world of education, I've added a new section for Education. As the list gets better, I expect we'll need to tinker with it some more. Strawless (talk) 15:11, 8 September 2008 (UTC)
Ah yes that makes more sense Apollo Crua (talk) 09:36, 9 September 2008 (UTC)
Alumni or...?
editThe title of the page is "Trinity College Dublin people", but the article says alumni. Should this page be for alumni only or should it also include notable staff? — Preceding unsigned comment added by Antic-Hay (talk • contribs) 19:26, 15 August 2011 (UTC)
