Lede and reference

I don't care if it's for recurring and starring characters, I thought we didn't want this page open ended, though. The reference proves notability of that death. The "sad parallel" was part of the ref, but whatever. - Peregrine Fisher 19:42, 21 February 2007 (UTC)

Apologies that I accidentally deleted the entire lead instead of just the "recurring and starring" bit. I re-added the lead without the "recurring and starring characters" comment because, as I've noted on the deletion discussion, most of these characters are completely non-notable. Also, what is POV is to call it a "sad" parallel. The reason I removed the comment altogether as opposed to simply removing the word "sad" is that I feel that the parallel to Spencer's actual death is a side comment that belongs on the Leo McGarry page and not here. Still, an argument can be made for keeping it and so if you wish to add it back (minus the word "sad"), I won't object. I hope this explains my edits. --Hnsampat 19:51, 21 February 2007 (UTC)

I am the original author. I don't believe that lists are inherently valueless, but I am not going to pursue fighting for retention of this article if there is overwhelming support for its deletion. BTW I know very little about the death of Leo McGarry (the seventh season is currently screening in Australia), so please refrain for providing details, at least until April Kransky 09:32, 22 February 2007 (UTC)
