Talk:List of The Grim Adventures of Billy & Mandy characters/Archive 1

Billy

~I really don't think the character Billy should be profiled as being psychopathic or schizophrenic, he just doesn't appear to be that complex psychologically if one knows where I'm getting at. Mandy, on the other hand, may possess better grounds for at least being labeled a sociopath.

I think Billy should have his own page , also intill 2006 I thought that mandy was billys sister.

Nope, Billy and Mandy are just friends. Billy, Mandy, Grim, and Irwin used to have their own pages. We should at least have Billy, Mandy and Grim pages. [[loolylolly1997|I'm]] watchin' you, [[The Grim adventures of Billy and Mandy|mon]] (talk) 22:54, 29 December 2007 (UTC)

Spliting?

The article is 63kb. I think we should either make one-shot characters into separate list, or sort them by episodes. -- Henk65 18:53, 11 July 2006 (UTC)

Good Idea. Bdelisle 06:52, 12 July 2006 (UTC)
I put in the offcial request entry to split Bdelisle 07:11, 12 July 2006 (UTC)
Ok just it should be "List of minor characters in The Grim Adventures of Billy and Mandy" and "List of main characters" or something like that. Guest characters and Minor characters should be separated. -- Henk65 10:34, 12 July 2006 (UTC)
I split it. Now this should be moved to "main characters" or something but I have no problem with the current name. -- Henk65 16:36, 12 July 2006 (UTC)
Right on Bdelisle 19:40, 12 July 2006 (UTC)
OK cool for alphabetazing. I deleted sections like A-C , we don't need them when the alphabetazing is complete. I will try to categorize minor characters, like "Billy's pets"(there are a lot of them) and "Christmas special", I will see what can be done more.

Categorization

I will divide "Recuirring Characters" into sections, like "School", "Parents",and leave completely recuirring characters, like Skarr and Hoss Delgado, it will make it more readable. I think that guest and minor characters sections are too long, but I don't know what to do about it -- Kwinston 13:12, 1 June 2006 (UTC)

I want to help out with this as well. Characters, episodes, and objects need templates. Heck, there is enough, someone should start a Billy and Mandy Portal. --Bushido Hacks 08:36, 10 June 2006 (UTC)
What about a separate list for one-shot characters? Guest characters and some minors would belong to that list. It will short this gigantic list. And we should find images for some characters, Sperg, Mindy and Pud'n need images. And some good image of Jeff the Spider, Nigel Planter and Nergal Junior. I saw templates for Simpsons episode and similiar and I thought about doing season templates like that, but I'm not really sure how to do them -- Henk65 13:54, 10 June 2006 (UTC)
  • Alphabetizing the minor/gust characters, or something like that would be useful. – and why do we have “minor 12 Minor characters” AND “guest characters” sections? Seems to be virtually the same thing. Bdelisle 07:10, 12 July 2006 (UTC)

Scythe

Don't revert Grim's scythe it's here List of supernatural items in The Grim Adventures of Billy and Mandy -- Misa J.

Ed, Edd n Eddy Characters?

Who on earth put Johnny 2x4 and plank on this list? anyway i deleted Johnny and Plank becuase they never appeared not even once in the series.

I watch Ed, Edd, and Eddy many times and Johnny and Plank DO appear!~Fred Fredburger Fan
Not in The Grim Adventures of Billy and Mandy. -- PinkDeoxys 23:28, 19 March 2006 (UTC)

Shut up! They don't!

Deletion of Spinner

I Deleted The Spinner section becuase that was a toy not a character

Scythe 2.0 should be deleted, too. It only appeared in one episode, and, like Spinner, is an object, not an actual character. -- PinkDeoxys 21:04, 9 March 2006 (UTC)
I deleted Scythe 2.0, but someone put it back. Should I delete it again, or leave it there? -- PinkDeoxys 13:03, 13 March 2006 (UTC)
Heck If It Talks And Has a Personality Then It's a Character So I'd Just Leave It
Scythe 2.0 stays. Filing it under other characters. --Bushido Hacks 08:33, 10 June 2006 (UTC)

What's Going On?

Who the hecks Glen the Pink Glowing Elephant? and who put Kevin from Ed, Edd n Eddy on here? plus i've got three more questions 1 when did Scooby-Doo ever appear in Billy and Mandy? 2 who's Jimmy Dong Dang? 3 who in the world is Justin Mildlanko? anyway i'll get to the point all this is pure nonsense so i deleted all these characters

Actually, Scooby-Doo did appear in Billy and Mandy. In the Keeper of the Reaper episode. He might have also appeared in another episode. ~Lord Munchlax
That still doesn't answer my the question who the heck's been putting non existent characters on this list?
Because of the fake Billy and Mandy TV movie article.
Scooby Doo appeared in both Keeper of the Reaper and Reap Walking. -- PinkDeoxys 00:38, 9 March 2006 (UTC)

Additions

I added a line about Sperg's mom in Sperg's section who appeared briefly in the episode Ecto Cooler. I didn't feel she'd been in enough episodes for her own section. Lord Sephiroth

Judge Roy Spleen article

why hasn't anyone rediret the Judge Roy Spleen article? It has hardly anything on it, it doesn't even have a bio on it. - Mike Teavee

Some Adjustments

I think Eris and Hoss should be main characters. I also think Milkshakes should be a recurring character, if not a main character. -- PinkDeoxys 21:04, 9 March 2006 (UTC)

Agreed. I'd like to find a link to wav file of Milkshakes' "miaow". It's so cute! --Bushido Hacks 08:31, 10 June 2006 (UTC)

Changes

It was incorrectly put that billy was digging to stay cool, a closer examination shows that he was digging to get the liquid hot center of the earth to stay warm. Mikelikerice

Someone put spinner back up, i agree with PinkDeoxys that it is asmall joke, not a character, i am going to delete it. Besides, who was kyle? --mike 14:25, 17 March 2006 (UTC)

Kyle was a traffic cone who appeared in Irwin Get's a Clue. He, like Spinner, was a joke and not a main character. -- PinkDeoxys 23:26, 19 March 2006 (UTC)

Does anyone think that General Skarr should be moved from the minor to recurring character list? It looks like he is being used more often. Mikelikerice

  • Sure. Maybe we should do the same with Milkshakes. I've been seeing him a lot lately, too. -- PinkDeoxys 21:04, 24 March 2006 (UTC)

Sperg

Why isn't Sperg listed here? He shows up at least as often as Pud'n and Mindy. Fairly important character who deserves mention--much more so than, say, Thromnabular or Fred Fredburger. --Andsean

What happened to the Fred FredBurger article?

Good question. It appears someone at Cartoon Network likes the Fred Fredburger character. Be that he is a dope, he does deserve an article. I'll put that on my to do list. --Bushido Hacks 08:29, 10 June 2006 (UTC)

For Crying Out Loud

Will Somebody Please Clean This Article Up! It Is a Awful Awful Awful Mess!

Working on it. I want to reorganize the characters into groups a little better. If need be, create a template. --Bushido Hacks 08:26, 10 June 2006 (UTC)

Stop making redirects to this page!

This page is getting TOO BIG! I created the template so that there would be a list of artiles relating to the characters. This page is getting warnings because someone keeps trying to consolidtate this article. From the way it looks, it seems like someone with a DULL personality because I created the template with colors that reflected the scheme of this series (ghastly violets and greens) and they made it into a deadpan list of bland colors. It is obvious someone does not want these articles to change. I'm putting this reorganization into overdrive! --Bushido Hacks 22:02, 10 June 2006 (UTC)

Dracula

Under the description for Dracula, it says "WHAT A PIMP." I'm assuming this is graffiti, but as I have never seen Dracula on the show, I'm not going to delete it at the moment.--Mr. RX99 01:08, 15 July 2006 (UTC)

Does anyone else see Dracula as a parody of the evangelist Jess Duplantis? With the voice, and the refernces to Cajun spice, I can't help but notice the similiarities. JoyfulNoiseProd 22:26, 14 June 2007 (UTC)

Tags

I added "unreferenced" and "magazine" tags to the article and to List of minor characters in The Grim Adventures of Billy and Mandy. In case anyone is unsure what this means - basically Wikipedia has a policy that the threshold for inclusion of content should be "verifiability, not truth" otherwise content may be viewed as original research. For example, statements such as "Grim's accent and use of patois suggest that he is Jamaican." needs to have a source, otherwise it can be viewed as original research and potentially removed from the article. If you look at articles that are voted as good by the community you'll notice that practically every declaration made has a source, particularly statements that people may disagree over. Having to cite sources is also one method of avoiding a situation where an article becomes clogged with fancruft. - 81.179.148.71 22:49, 10 October 2006 (UTC)

Sources?

Has anyone ever heard of this Swedish Harry Potter spoof someone mentioned under the Lord Moldybutt heading?

 - Toadblatts School of Witchcraft and Wizadry have appeared in two separate episodes, I forget the names. Lionel Planter was Harry Potter, but to note that it wasn't sweeden only, England had these aired as well. ~ Myth

Em... Both episodes were aired in the US, Myth. It was aired everywhere where they show the cartoon. It's completely true. And, please sign you name by doing four tildes Mumblebot (talk) 02:58, 8 May 2008 (UTC)

THIS IS THE LAST STRAW!

Uh, I am tired of coming across these kind of articles. This line, (Please add a picture of him, much easier to take it from Crushed!), from the Piff article for example. That does NOT belong on the article, it belongs on Discussion. This is the last straw, I am going to semi-protect every page that has too much graffiti, too much bad grammer/spelling/puncuation, and too much Discussion comments. Ages

Why do people keep adding ages for the characters? Their ages were never revealed on the show. DietLimeCola 01:54, 1 April 2007 (UTC)

They may have been shown on a website. Not everything has to be learned from the TV show itself.Moojgoo 13:27, 1 April 2007 (UTC)
That isn't canon. DietLimeCola 22:39, 1 April 2007 (UTC)

Aunt Kally

Grim has a Great Aunt Kally according to then episode where Billy gets that wart on his back named "Yap-Yap". Will you please let me add that section under "Grim's Family"? Thanks.

IGrif 22:18, 26 May 2007 (UTC)IGrif

Sperg

This is a question about Sperg:

In some episodes there is a little kid (Sperg?) in Billy's class, etc. The most reasonable reference is when Billy formed a baseball team proving that girls couldn't play the sport. There was a black-haired kid that looked exactlty like Sperg. Who is he? Maybe we could post an article. Thanks.

IGrif 22:22, 26 May 2007 (UTC)IGrif

Jack o' Lantern

Should Jack o' Latern be in this in the minor characters article.

Creeper

As I already said in those summaries - although creeper only appeared in one "episode", this episode happens to be the movie which is...dunno...7 times "one episode" length? During this time his appearance was far greater than some other character on the page, namely Grim's parents, Granny Grim, Cerberus, Melvin and Irwin's parents. So please stop deleting the article unless you have some very good arguments why not to keep it. SFilip 16:06, 27 June 2007 (UTC)

About Fred Fredburger

The article states that he appears in "Billy and Mandy Moon the Moon", I just watch the episode and Fred Fredburger doesn't seem to be in it. ARRG 15:15, 17 August 2007 (UTC)

Voice Actors

I know they are on the Billy & Mandy page, but I think it would be a good idea to add them. So... 'Yay' or 'nay?' Mack-the-random 17:00, 10 November 2007 (UTC)

I merged them to the main page because this page and the main page both had lists, and theres no reason why voice actors should be listed twice. Besides, I was nice and made a section link back to the main page with the voice actors on there. So no.DietLimeCola 04:55, 14 November 2007 (UTC)

OWN PAGE FOR FFB!!

FRED FREDBURGER REALLY SHOULD GET HIS OWN PAGE.HES MY FAVORITE CHARICTER.AAP52 00:04, 12 November 2007 (UTC)

No.--treelo talk 12:28, 12 November 2007 (UTC)
I want to say something very harsh now, but it would probably get me blocked from Wikipedia. So I'll follow Treelo and say "No." DietLimeCola 04:53, 14 November 2007 (UTC)
YES! AAP52 (talk) 00:36, 18 November 2007 (UTC)
I'll expand on why. Wikipedia isn't a popularity contest, because he's popular to his fans doesn't make him more notable than other minors in B&M. Besides the permanent lock on Fred Fredburger which only permits sysops and higher to change the page from the current redirect there which is a SALTed article, you and the other fans are pretty much unlikely to get it reinstated. --treelo talk 01:03, 18 November 2007 (UTC)
Forget it Treelo, he's just another user who doesn't care about anyone’s opinions but his own, and tries to be funny by quoting Fred. Either way, he can't make the page without some help, and I doubt he'll get any.
By the way, I don't like Fred Fredburger; I think he's stupid, unfunny, and annoying. Even if I did like him, he still doesn't deserve his own page.
Skarr's one of my favorite characters, and he still doesn't have is page, and shouldn't have one. Do you understand what I'm saying about bias views, and how they should be left out of an encyclopedia article? No you don't, you're probably just going to reply with another Fred Fredburger quote with no REAL reasons you believe Fred should have his own page. Then again, why did I even bother writing this? DietLimeCola (talk) 19:26, 26 November 2007 (UTC)
Why indeed. So, we're just hammering home the notion as to why Fred doesn't get his article right? OK then, just checking. Nice use of ranting, didn't really help your argument why an article wasn't required but added some colour so all is good. --treelo talk 19:44, 26 November 2007 (UTC)
I was just trying to explain to him that even though I like or hate some of the characters, I don't treat them based on my personal point of view. Perhaps this will help: WP:POV. DietLimeCola (talk) 23:37, 26 November 2007 (UTC)
Never mind, I just found out he's a sockpuppet. DietLimeCola (talk) 23:57, 26 November 2007 (UTC)
Good, that's us done here then. --treelo talk 00:11, 27 November 2007 (UTC)

Pictures please

What happened to the pictures? A lack of pictures doesn't help for people that look at the article. Can we please bring them back? Link 486 (talk) 14:32, 21 December 2007 (UTC)

Nope, images would be removed from this list article under WP:NFCC --treelo talk 14:44, 21 December 2007 (UTC)

Grim's Full Name

Grim's full name is apparently Grim Careful Reaper, because he said "Careful is my middle name! I never forgave Mom for that one.." thus making his middle name Careful.Stickmeister (talk) 16:21, 4 February 2008 (UTC)

I really don't think Careful is Grim's middle name. You know, this is a well used phrase. If you say "something" is your middle name, it means you can/wanna be described as "something".--Shigerello (talk) 14:44, 24 March 2009 (UTC)

About Mandy's Fear

In the episode "Attack of the Clowns", there is an implication of what Mandy fears. In the basement of Billy's house, after Mandy said "Sometimes you gotta confront your fears to get past them.", Grim said "You mean like you and a big skating thing?". Mandy clearly got annoyed or even angered at that Grim's comment. It seems Mandy's fear is something to do with skating. It fits what is described in Mandy's section about ice dancers. Is this worth a mention in Mandy's section?--Shigerello (talk) 15:17, 24 March 2009 (UTC)

Fan article

This article reads way, way too much like it belongs on a Billy and Mandy fansite. Mainly because the article gets much too detailed about the characters, drawing conclusions and assumptions about their personalities that aren't "neutral in perspective" at all. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 72.135.110.17 (talk) 02:56, 8 April 2010 (UTC)

Freddy Krueger and Texas chainsaw massacre

In one of the episodes, Grim was ordered to help the elderly as a part of his community service for 'abusing his powers' by bringing the moon down onto Earth. As he was at the old people's home at the underworld, with Billy and Mandy, Frankinstein's wife explains about how horror films are changing and as she explains, Freddy and the person with the chainsaw from tezas chainsaw massecre is there to demostrate what she means. Should we include these two?

Dinosaurs?

I was browsing wikipedia when I saw in the Sections "Citizens of the Dinosaur World" and I have never seen that at all I read through the whole thing and it makes no sense, it even mentioned a movie called Billy & Mandy: Dawn of the Dinosaurs. I am POSITIVE that this is vandalism but it doesn't matter since somebody deleted it. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 190.205.220.163 (talk) 20:31, 17 August 2010 (UTC)

Ages and Grades

Look, I don't mind cartoon characters with their ages revealed (for the most part), but this show doesn't even mention Billy, Mandy and the other kids' ages nor their grades! Billy and Mandy are like 7-9 and are probably in the 2nd or 3rd grade. Talk about confusion... Plus, how are their ages revealed? DynastiNoble (talk) 03:34, 24 April 2020 (UTC)
