Rename

This article needs to be renamed. First it is punctuated incorrectly. There should be no apostrophe in the title since there is no ownership being shown. I think it should be renamed as Swaminarayan Sampraday Temples or Temples in the Swaminarayan Sampraday.--Juthani1 (talk) 19:58, 27 March 2008 (UTC)

A Swaminarayan Sampraday temple is known as Shri Swaminarayan Mandir or Shri Swaminarayan Temple, so on that front I dont think it should be renamed, Wheredevelsdare (talk) 00:07, 28 March 2008 (UTC)

Name as "List of Swaminarayan temples"

I feel this article is more of a list than an article, and should be renamed as List of Swaminarayan temples.--Redtigerxyz (talk) 05:01, 12 June 2008 (UTC)

I would support this move, however it can also be renamed to List of temples in Swaminarayan sampradaya as the above proposed list, List of Swaminarayan temples, should really combine all Swaminarayan gadi, BAPS and Swaminarayan sampradaya temples, disregarding the ideological differences of the major groups, for the sake of Wikibility. List of Swaminayan temples is fine. All other sects have their own prefix (such as BAPS temples are BAPS Shri Swaminarayan Temple, Place), only Swaminarayan Sampraday temps are known as just Shri Swaminarayan temple, Place. The reason for this is tht a Swaminarayan temple is one in wch the Acharya has done the murti pratishtha, only possible in a Swaminarayan Sampraday temple and this has legal standing, therefore other sects have got to have something diff. hance some prefix is there in their temple names. I am well aware that Shri Swaminarayan temple is one thing, but here it says List of Swaminayan temples as if the other temples are not. I suggest a separate section for each. Wikidās ॐ 05

Having them on one page will be very confusing as ppl. will then assume all the sects to be one, which will be wrong. Again Swaminarayan temples are only Sampraday temples - others hv to hv their own prefix - like BAPS Shri Swaminarayan temple, Place - tht wld prob become List of BAPS Swaminarayan temples. There is a very big diff which only Swaminarayan devotees would know. Pl dont confuse Swaminarayan temple with BAPS Swaminarayan temple or temple of any other sect. Other suggestions

• Include sect BAPS or sampradaya in template
• add state subsection in India.
• Link to Deity.
• A temple would be prefered than a deity photo.
• Do not add links in section headings as per WP:MOS
