According to Wookiepedia, Episode 16 will set on Christophsis. It also says Anakin, Obi-Wan, Whorm Loathsom (From the film), and Assajj Ventress will appear. Isn't this considered a reference to the film? The planet Christophsis appears in the film too. Shouldn't we note this? Where are the season 2 and the episodes that haven't aired yet. Currently only 15 or 16 episodes have aired. Are they airing early somewhere? If you want to add unaired episodes at least provide some references. --Gman124 talk 21:16, 29 January 2009 (UTC)

  • Season 2 has been confirmed here and will be aired by Cartoon Network. Just a short fyi to anyone who may want to add it. Ok first of all the official name of The Lair of General Grievous is simply "Lair of Grievous" and it is still unclear if it is the episode number 10 or 12 (200.8.166.12 (talk) 05:28, 27 November 2008 (UTC))

Removed pointless lines and spoilers in episode descriptions.

I have taken to removing the spoilers found on some of the episode summaries. The reason for this is because it was unessesary and spoiled the episodes for anyone not having seen them. The summaries should be treated as a basic outline for the plot, detailing the main plot point rather than detailing the beginning, middle and end. For example, stating that "The padawan Nahdar Vebb is killed but Fisto escapes" is pure spoiler. Any summary of The Empire Strikes Back would read: "The Rebel Base has once again been found, and after a devastating attack must flee and scatter across the Galaxy. Luke enlists the help of a strange Jedi Master Yoda while Han and Leia outrun the Imperial Fleet."

However, what would happen if one were to add: "It is revealed that Vader is Luke's father."

Formatting

Air dates

The "original air date" column is unclear. Is it the first air date anywhere, or just the air date on a specific channel? The reason I ask is that Season 2, Episode 17 was first shown last weekend on Sky Movies here in the UK, but the table says "original air date" won't happen until 2 April 2010. I haven't checked, but I presume the other season 2 air dates are similarly out by at least a week. 87.115.124.73 (talk) 00:50, 31 March 2010 (UTC)

Checking further, I read on this page: "As the second series of STAR WARS: THE CLONE WARS reaches a climax on Sky Movies, we're delighted to announce that Episodes 19-22 will be WORLD PREMIERES to Sky Movies. I think this merits discussion. I was the one who posted the link to the USA Today article. The text of it says that the finale will be on the 30th, and Fett will appear in the previous episode on the 23rd. So why, then, are the last 3 episodes of the season listed as airing on the 23rd and two on the 30th? DigiFluid (talk) 17:59, 30 March 2010 (UTC)

Blank episode fields

Why were the blank episode fields removed? We already know that the episode is going to be 22 episodes, so we may as well just put them in and fill in the cells as new information is revealed. The season having 22 episodes is a known fact; it's not the same thing as the 'planned' 100 episodes for the entire series. DigiFluid (talk) 20:46, 18 September 2010 (UTC)

I think it adds unnecessary clutter to the article during the interim until the episodes air and I removed them for this reason. I do not dispute the number of episodes planned for the season but believe the number would be better presented as text rather than blank table space. If the purpose of including the blank entries is to assist editors adding episodes in the future, then I would instead recommend a link to the Episode list template be placed on the talk page or in a similar location rather than adding clutter to the page visible to the public. --Odie5533 (talk) 21:32, 18 September 2010 (UTC)
It has also historically been shown to encourage vandalism when less productive editors, usually anonymous IP users, see the empty space and need to fill it with whatever nonsense comes to mind. I'm afraid Star Wars is one of the shows I'd consider to be in a high susceptibility for such vandalism. I don't know a lot of editors that want to make reviewing every edit and incessantly reverting this page a full time job. KnownAlias contact 22:13, 18 September 2010 (UTC)
Fair. While I don't agree with the "clutter" argument, I can certainly accept that it invites vandalism. And I agree, I don't want to be constantly fixing that either. Demand/request/desire for empty cells rescinded. DigiFluid (talk) 16:22, 19 September 2010 (UTC)

Misplaced episode!

Season 2 - Senate Murders: Onaconda Farr, Padme, and Bail Organa push against a new bill in the senate to buy new clones for the republic. Onaconda Farr is poisened and killed in that very episode.

Disagree. The English Wikipedia is not U.S.-centric. Unless the original release date is from a non-English speaking country, episode lists generally do not include more than one date. Some do - but this is because the U.S. and U.K. release dates are so different consistently that it is needed (and the tables are re-worked to have multiple columns). --haha169 (talk) 05:40, 24 March 2011 (UTC)

Apart from "fall" being an american coloquialism, do the authors of the many season-related timeframes peppered throughout Wikipedia realise that people in the southern hemisphere read these things too? (Or do they not understand the significance of this...)

Shouldn't issues like the ones questioned in the few posts above come down to where the show is produced? If it's a US-produced series, use US airdates, use US colloquialisms, etc. DigiFluid (talk) 16:46, 15 June 2011 (UTC)
I agree with DigiFluid. A U.S. show should be represented by the original U.S. air dates by default unless something specific supercedes, like the early UK debut of The Simpsons episode, In the Name of the Grandfather. MOS:TV#Broadcast is fairly clear about this; the mentioning of alternate English speaking countries' broadcasts should be mentioned in prose. As for the issue of U.S. colloquialisms for U.S. shows, I was pretty sure that matter was settles a long time ago with the use of season (U.S.) vs. series (UK). KnownAlias X 17:15, 15 June 2011 (UTC)

Season Four Production Codes

What is the source for the production codes of Season 4 episodes? I know that previous seasons were found at StarWars.com episode guides, but the episode guides no longer give production codes as far as I know. Exlonox (talk) 19:06, 30 September 2011 (UTC)

I was wondering this too, so I inquired at Wookieepedia last night. If you look on the episode guide pages at the concept art slideshows, for most of them there's at least one image that shows the production code. The exception is to this is this year's "Gungan Attack", which doesn't show on so far as I can tell (hence my edit just a couple minutes ago to remove its alleged production number from the table). Adding One's Own Summary

As I was trying to view if there were any episode descriptions for Season 4, I noticed another user had gone in and added their own description for the episodes for all of November and into December. Not only was it typed in all caps, but there were numerous typos in it as well. And that was just from the mobile end. When I logged in, I noticed someone had already gone in and removed a few of them. I took the liberty of removing what was left. It should probably be noted that if anyone is going to submit an episode summary, that it should be completely devoid of personal opinion, error free, and look as professional as possible. Not to mention that it should be probably be done with prior approval first. That's why I just leave it to the regulars. Vandalism

Back in August 2010 I did a bit of research to find viewer statistics for old episodes of the show and added them to the article. On April 17, 2012, an IP vandalized a lot of the viewer statistics as seen here. This vandalism was left in place until today. Continuity

I see a lot of confused comments on this Talk Page, so I feel the need to clarify the show. The series is considered an ANTHOLOGY by its creators--and as such should not be interpreted as airing in strict chronological order. Episodes 2.16 and 1.16, for instance, are prequels to the theatrical film. The guys over at Wookieepedia are doing their damndest to try to keep things straight in their main Clone Wars article here. I am also attempting to keep track of things on my own in a thread on GateWorld Forum.

You can also see on-screen evidence of this in the 'Newsreels' (the parts narrated by Tom Kane at the beginning of every episode). There are a great many which show clips of battles that don't happen till later episodes, due primarily to the production order not being the same as the airing order. It remains, however, on-screen proof that the show is not airing in chronological order.

For the time being, I suggest not mentioning prequel/sequel in individual episode blurbs. The situation right now is extremely complicated, and hasn't yet been clarified by Lucasfilm/Lucas Licensing/Lucas Animation so it remains a lot of guesswork. Unless we plan on starting a separate page to track chronology, I think it's too much hassle for this page. DigiFluid (talk) 02:19, 22 December 2010 (UTC)

I just saw this on Luca Films website "In addition to continuing work on Star Wars: The Clone Wars and developing a second Star Wars animated series, the studio is also focusing efforts on feature film animation and other new intellectual properties." I had mentally designated the August 2008 film as episode 0, but it appears there might be something else competing for that spot. Prior to the October 2008 debut of episode 1, according to http://www.tv.com/shows/star-wars-the-clone-wars/preview-special-1232018/ in September 2008 there was a "preview special" linking up the Aug film to the Oct series?
