I suggest we make a new category for the walkman phones? --rigelt 22:40, 24 February 2006 (UTC)Reply

All these phones are all Sony Ericsson phones. Perhaps we can make a list of walkman products, if there isnt one already.. 60.241.17.111 09:18, 21 March 2006 (UTC)Reply

I think a separate category would be awkward since other categories are by form factor. Since Walkman phones often have a non-Walkman counterpart, it may be nice to document these relationships (e.g. K750 = W800, Z530 = W300 etc).

Dates?

edit

Should there be dates of the phones release? 60.241.17.111 09:14, 21 March 2006 (UTC)Reply

If available, I think that would be nice, but what do you mean by "release"? Introduction (like the W850, Z710, Z550 and W710 today)?

Release dates would be great! Dates when the phones are first delivered is probably most interesting, but the dates of the 1st official announcement could also be fun. 192.16.134.68 14:00, 27 July 2007 (UTC)Reply

NTT DoCoMo Models

edit

The article is missing all of the models produced for NTT DoCoMo's FOMA service. Unfortunately I don't know all of the models, and I'm quite sure that the FOMA models have no direct "international" counterpart. --PkerUNO 01:10, 7 September 2006 (UTC)Reply

Please remove the P990c

edit

Please remove the P990c from the list. It does not exist. It is true that the P990c is (has been?) mentioned somewhere on www.SonyEricsson.com but that is a misstake. It really does not exist. 192.16.134.68 13:57, 27 July 2007 (UTC)Reply

Classification

edit

Is form factor really the best way to group these phones? It might be one important factor in choice for some people, but there are many more (and this isn't a phone selection guide) - grouping them by series prefix per http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sony_Ericsson#Phone_series_description might give a better idea of market placement and development history. c.f. I agree, although perhaps a sortable table may appease all preferences? I can try to do this if there are no violent objections.--Huaiwei (talk) 12:20, 21 March 2008 (UTC)Reply

Merger/Expansion

edit

So a different list was created as a result of AfD, but I found out this list already existed. However, the new list has (imo) a much more detailed layout more in tune with the goals of merger (this list is very minimalistic), so I'm proposing the following:

  • Merge all existing sub "articles" into the new list (List of models) under new format.
  • Merge new list into this list (basically updating this with the new list format)

To me this sounds like nonsense. "Let's write wikipedia2 - eventually we merge it with wikipedia." Why don't you invest your time into the existing list? We all agree that it needs improvement; because of your overhasty deletion and merging suggestions we're facing a total mess around here. rigelt (talk) 21:37, 13 March 2009 (UTC)Reply
This is a no-brainer – the lists should be merged. Incidentally, most of the individual articles were quite rightly done away with. wjematherbigissue 21:54, 21 December 2009 (UTC)Reply

Sony/Ericsson

edit

There should be a distinction of early models, which were only Sony and only Ericsson, such that T28 is an Ericsson phone and not a Sony Ericsson phone, even if T28 is supported by Sony Ericsson. Later on, as the Ericsson name is reportedly to be phased out, Sony-only phones should be marked as such. -Mardus (talk) 23:25, 19 April 2012 (UTC)Reply

Cyberbot II has detected that page contains external links that have either been globally or locally blacklisted. Links tend to be blacklisted because they have a history of being spammed, or are highly innappropriate for Wikipedia. This, however, doesn't necessarily mean it's spam, or not a good link. If the link is a good link, you may wish to request whitelisting by going to the request page for whitelisting. If you feel the link being caught by the blacklist is a false positive, or no longer needed on the blacklist, you may request the regex be removed or altered at the blacklist request page. If the link is blacklisted globally and you feel the above applies you may request to whitelist it using the before mentioned request page, or request it's removal, or alteration, at the request page on meta. When requesting whitelisting, be sure to supply the link to be whitelisted and wrap the link in nowiki tags. The whitelisting process can take its time so once a request has been filled out, you may set the invisible parameter on the tag to true. Please be aware that the bot will replace removed tags, and will remove misplaced tags regularly.

Tela phones?

edit

What does this mean? It sounds like an excuse to saying "telephone". And what does the S in the charts even mean? — Preceding unsigned comment added by Vacuumfan7072 (talkcontribs) 03:29, 30 September 2014 (UTC)Reply

J Series?

edit

I'm wondering about the absence of the J series of phones here. I had thought that a PROD'd article J230i might be redirected to the J series section of this article ... only to find that such a section did not exist. Thanks for clarification on this. --02:29, 3 August 2015 (UTC)
