Dab?

@Narky Blert: I'm having trouble seeing the purpose of this page. As far as I can see, none of the entries there (apart from the primary topic) are known as "Sanskrit". It's really only list of articles whose titles begin with the term. Is there anything I'm missing? – Uanfala (talk) 13:16, 10 September 2018 (UTC)

@Uanfala: It's slightly more than a list of WP:PTMs - I created the page after finding some links into Sanskrit which better related to more specific topics on the DAB page. (I've just found a similar one - Timeline of computing hardware before 1950, where I replaced a link to grammar by one to Sanskrit grammar.) It could perhaps be reformulated as something like List of Sanskrit-related topics, but I think it's a useful navigation aid. Narky Blert (talk) 13:44, 10 September 2018 (UTC)

So, it's situations where we've got something lke "a Sanskrit pronoun", where a more specific article to link to would be Sanskrit pronouns and determiners? Hm, but doesn't that happen every time we've got a system of a single general article + several articles on specific subtopics? I don't think this really is dab stuff. If a reader followed the Sanskrit link above and they wanted to read more about Sanskrit pronouns, then the place they would go looking is the relevant section of the article, this is not the kind of thing they would expect to find on the dab page. And if the point of the list is only to navigate between Sanskrit-related topics, then it's redundant to Template:Sanskrit language topics. – Uanfala (talk) 14:07, 10 September 2018 (UTC)
