Gavbadger you've created a whole lot of WP:SELFLINKs for this page; please review that guideline. More generally, if there not sufficient notable information actually contained here, no link should be created; the information/title of the unit can just be searched within en-wiki generally. Do you have significant amounts of data on all these units that you are planning to add? Buckshot06 (talk) 03:43, 30 April 2020 (UTC)
New redirects for Communications Units
editGavbadger Please stop creating redirects for units that have no information here, or virtually no information. If people have the name of the unit, they can search for it and find the data here; otherwise, any data you have on the unit(s), which do not generally move, can be placed with their higher command - RAF Aden/British Forces Aden for example.

- Another example: for the Desert Air Force Communication Unit, the data should be placed at DAF and here, both, without a redirect. That's the bare bones, in both appropriate articles. If somebody finds a detailed history of the unit, then a full article can be created. Another example is the Strike Command Communication Squadron, which existed for *only* the month of January 1963, yet you created a redirect for it. The brief existence of the squadron is marked for example by saying, in the webhistories of 207 Squadron, at some points that it was simply redesignated from Southern Communications Squadron - because Southern Sqdn was the name for the unit until end 1962 - the squadron histories don't even include it!! "Royal Air Force Communication Flight RAF," Palam, India, 1947
editDear Gavbadger I removed this changeover note because the title seemed malformed. Surely something like India or SCHQ or something would be in the the title? Would you kindly please recheck Lake? Is the last title given actually "Royal Air Force Communication Flight, Royal Air Force?" Buckshot06 (talk) 22:55, 13 April 2024 (UTC)
- Hi, i rechecked my copy of Lake along with Royal Air Force flying training and support units since 1912 (2007) by Sturtivant yesterday before i reverted. It says "Royal Air Force Communication Flight" i've removed the additional RAF at the end. Gavbadger (talk) 11:36, 14 April 2024 (UTC)
- Cheers Gavbadger!! I am sorry if that appeared to be playing round with the page, but you see I hope why I wanted to query the title. Buckshot06 (talk) 22:56, 15 April 2024 (UTC)
