Talk:List of PoPoLoCrois characters

I moved this off of the PoPoLoCrois article because I want to expand it to include each game and anime series and this didn't need to be there. These names should be alphabetized and organized by which game/show they appear in. I'm going to re-write the text to source the documentation provided with the games. Deletion edit
I am aware that this page is currently unreferenced. You'll notice that I created this article (from the bloated content at Popolocrois) and I was also the one to tag it for being unreferenced. I have this on a long list of character lists that need complete overhaul. However, this list is a valid subtopic of PoPoLoCrois and could easily be referenced. Unfortunately as it is, this article has a largely in-universe frame, so the content as stands is not viable. I request that this article be left alone until it can be given some TLC, the topic is very likely notable. --Kraftlos (Talk | Contrib) 05:40, 28 December 2009 (UTC)

- With regard to the content. I put time in on this series, and don't want to see any of my efforts wasted with a careless PROD. If you have a better idea of what to do with this article, propose something. With start and stub class articles, I try to preserve what's there so we're not starting from square one. - Sorry if I was being too curt, I don't want to offend anyone. I don't claim to be the omnipotent ruler of Wikipedia, it's just very hard to clean up once the character lists get out of control. You could move all the unreferenceable information into a Wikia page, or external gaming wiki, make a game guide of some sort, or put it on your userspace while it's being improved. There really is no "square one" if the information doesn't belong in an encyclopedia to begin with. It might not be false, but Wikipedia's policy is to minimize plot summary and focus mostly on the game itself.--ZXCVBNM (TALK) 13:03, 28 December 2009 (UTC)
- Sorry if I overreacted. As someone who is familiar with the series, I know that the information is more or less accurate. I didn't write it, however I would prefer to copyedit existing character descriptions rather than write it from scratch. Character lists are essentially breakouts of the main article's plot section; while they need a real-world frame, they're bound to be a little plotty.

- Your merge suggestion seems reasonable on second glance. When I first created this article, Popolocrois was the article for the PSP title. Now that we have a series article there and the psp title is on its own, it would be appropriate to trim and merge this into the series article for the time being. It would probably help to trim out most of the character list in the anime article as well to reduce repetition. This article can be recreated should the need arise in the future (like if better English-language sources were available). Of course, anything in here that resembles a game-guide is worthless to Wikipedia and I have no interest in keeping it here.
