I updated the post-season droughts to reflect the end of the regular season.

No other section was touched. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Ne55ystars (talkcontribs) 12:20, 3 November 2012 (UTC)Reply

NOTBROKEN, my error, and other content edit

I'm not sure what the rationale for this edit is, but, @Bashum104:, your reason does not match the content that was reverted. I have reverted per WP:NOTBROKEN and WP:STATUSQUO. Feel free to explain why we should ignore those rules. Walter Görlitz (talk) 00:47, 26 November 2020 (UTC)Reply

That change brings the article in line with itself. Los Angeles Galaxy and LA Galaxy were both used in the article, with no obvious reason for the two distinct usages. It seems pretty obvious to me that you would want to bring the two in line with each other. But regardless, you reverted far, far more than just that and have given only the flimsiest of reasons for doing so. Bashum104 (talk) 00:52, 26 November 2020 (UTC)Reply
Sorry, I didn't realize that your subsequent reverts after the first were only on the LA Galaxy vs. Los Angeles Galaxy topic. I still think that change is a positive one because Los Angeles Galaxy is the full name of the club, that style is used elsewhere in the article, and the article similarly uses full names for other clubs. It seems like an obvious improvement to me. Also the policies you listed don't apply because this was changing the actual content of the article, not just the link location. BTW @Walter Görlitz: you have now violated the 3RR on this page, something which seems to be a recurring problem for you. Bashum104 (talk) 01:00, 26 November 2020 (UTC)Reply
The reason for two distinct names was that there was a consensus for all MLS articles change that at one point their common name was Los Angeles, but later adopted LA. That's why STATUSQUO would apply. My initial revert was probably too broad. I was planning on reviewing it on the weekend, but your subsequent revert has made that review unnecessary. My change was clear, and it seems that you didn't bother to check it. So my error and yours have pushed me to the brink of 3RR, not over. Please recognize that there are policies, guidelines, manuals of style, consensus and other things that can have links. You just conflated them, and both NOTBROKEN and STATUSQUO and I have applied them correctly. Walter Görlitz (talk) 01:34, 26 November 2020 (UTC)Reply

Metro area section edit

I feel that the last section on metro areas does not need to exist, especially with NYCFC winning the cup. The only metro area without an MLS cup win that has two teams listed is Miami, with one of the teams not having existed for nearly two decades Nobreadsticks (talk) 06:29, 19 December 2021 (UTC)Reply

Article name? edit

The article is named "List of MLS club post-season droughts", but it lists several other statistics (Supporters Shield, CCL, Open Cup). This seems like a good place for the stats, so maybe a name change is in order, because it doesn't otherwise make sense to include those stats with this title. 155.188.123.86 (talk) 14:52, 11 October 2022 (UTC)Reply
