Split article into two seperate lists.

edit

Hello. Yesterday I made an edit in which I split up the list between current and former/terminated destinations it was reverted with the user who performed the revert citing to maintain consistency with other airline destination lists. I write here in the talk page now to ask for consensus as to if airline destination lists should in future be split between current and former destinations. My reason for this would be to make the article easier to navigate and to see at a glance what routes are being currently served by the airline and ones that were previously but are no longer. If one wanted there could even be a third split to separetely list seasonal only destinations, again to allow someone to quickly view lists of current routes, seasonal only routes and former routes. If this is not the right talk page to propose such a large change then please feel free to repost this to other relevant talk pages.

Thank you.

I say this with good intentions - and I am taking your intentions as being good. Please take what I write as being in good faith and don't take this as anything personal or offensive. There is a push amongst many editors to entirely remove tables listing where airlines fly or have flown.
See the recent vote as an example - https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wikipedia:Articles_for_deletion/List_of_British_Airways_destinations
If you split off the Terminated destinations into a separate table, I think other editors will then decide to then delete the Terminated Destinations table entirely or see this as further reason to remove destination tables. If you want to keep the Terminated destinations visible on wikipedia, maybe best to leave this as is.Pmbma (talk) 13:12, 24 May 2024 (UTC)Reply
