Templates
editI added template boxes that I have created for several IHSA conferences so far. The ultimate goal for this article should be to simply show the template boxes, once all of the conferences have been created. If there's any further discussion on this, please contribute.--Dhalls 08:54, 18 August 2006 (UTC)
- I disagree. There is no reason at all to have the templates here. The templates have all been moved into their own category called Category:Illinois high school sports boxes. This page should list all the high schools and go for a feature list, which I feel would be pretty easy to do. We would just have to figure out what we want to go for as far as information. I will start that discussion down below as newer discussions are suppose to be at the bottom.--Kranar drogin 02:41, 19 September 2007 (UTC)
- I guess I didn't notice this was from a YEAR ago, sheesh.--Kranar drogin 02:48, 19 September 2007 (UTC)
"Western Sun"
editApparently some schools in northern Illinois are organizing a new athletic conference, to be called Western Sun. Judging by a link on the NCIC article, the conference has not fully/formally come into being yet - and it's not officially listed on the IHSA website either. If anyone has VERIFIABLE information about the schools forming this conference (especially background), feel free to add it, and an article would be most useful. --JohnDBuell 15:35, 30 December 2006 (UTC)
- Nevermind. Got it. The conference started during the 2006-2007 academic year. --JohnDBuell 15:42, 30 December 2006 (UTC)
- In fact, doing some checking it seems that the old Suburban Prairie Conference split three ways. Its article and this list have been modified with this information, and three new articles (one for each new conference) have been added. --JohnDBuell 16:41, 30 December 2006 (UTC)
Feature List
editThis would be a good list to make into a feature list. We should discuss what we would need to include, so any ideas? We would also need to create articles on each conference, and prolly should add a template for each conference. I think that we should also agree on some sort of format, and what will be included with each article. I cleaned up Mississippi Valley Conference (Illinois) article when I found it, but I think we should include a list of state championships for each conference. For what sport, year, etc, as another list. Thoughts on all this?--Kranar drogin 02:46, 19 September 2007 (UTC)
