According to Wikipedia:

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Evonne_Goolagong_Cawley

Evonne Goolagong was born in Australia.

She married Roger Cawley, a British citizen, in 1975.

She ought to be listed as Austrnlian in this entry.

(moved from UK list to Australia list)

This list is obviously NOT complete

For example, Max Decugis of France...Ryoung122 20:14, 8 June 2009 (UTC)

@Ryoung122: (a bit late of a response, but...) Max Decugis did not win any of the four grand-slam singles championships, unless his article is wrong. The only grand slam championship win is the doubles in 1911. —[AlanM1(talk)]— 03:12, 8 July 2019 (UTC)

Max Decugis was an 8-time singles champion at the French championships which later became the French Open. Prior to Wikipedia, most authorities (such as the Encyclopedia Britannica) listed him as a Grand Slam singles champion but internet know-it-alls enjoy engaging in Original Research violations to make their own biased POV stick, sources or not. Meanwhile, they partially apply rules, claiming that pre-1925 French championships don't "count" due to rules that they don't apply to Wimbledon, the US Open, or the Australian Open historical lists of singles winners.Ryoung122 03:02, 24 July 2019 (UTC)

United States

@Ksihoo: Is there a reason, at List of Grand Slam singles champions by country/Archive 1#_United_States, the first 60 entries are not in the table? I was going to move them, but thought I'd ask first in case there was a reason. Thanks. —[AlanM1(talk)]— 00:14, 7 July 2019 (UTC)

Don't think there is a particular reason. The article started with lists per country which have been converted over time to tables. Seems these 60 entries are the last ones to be done. --Wolbo (talk) 00:24, 7 July 2019 (UTC)
OK. I got the years from the player infoboxes and moved them to the table. Do you (or anyone) know what the criteron is for the bolding of some of the years already in the table? —[AlanM1(talk)]— 05:53, 8 July 2019 (UTC)
Apparently, the bolding in the Total column apears to be the greatest number of wins within the country. The bolded year is the first win for that player. I've added the explanation to the lead. —[AlanM1(talk)]— 00:52, 9 July 2019 (UTC)
