Merge and prune edit
@Dr. Blofeld: do you have any objection to removal of all the redlinked names on this page?
@Peripatetic: would you be willing to merge the blue links from List of Finnish authors here? It appears that you have provided a source for the redlinked pages on that list; I suggest that each redlinked entry, if kept, needs that as a citation. – Fayenatic London 15:13, 15 November 2015 (UTC)
Yes I would object because just because an article is missing it doesn't make it any less valid. I agree that they should be blue linked and sourced though but I'm not going to do it. Can you perhaps comment out the red links using wiki coding rather than deleting all the names though?♦ Dr. Blofeld 17:09, 15 November 2015 (UTC)

Same as Dr B - I would oppose any kind of redlink removal. I've created hundreds of new articles and it's a fact that even today, systemic bias is strong. Merger of the two lists is a good idea, but only if someone can volunteer the time. --Peripatetic (talk) 19:30, 15 November 2015 (UTC)

- These lists look like little more than copies from catalogues. A proper list would provide dates of birth and death and a few words summarizing the contribution of each author. Redlinks are valuable. Start at the start; these names came from somewhere. If they're from a book/catalogue, add the RS. If they're from the Finnish Wikipedia, add the Finnish interwiki link. Yes, merge List of Finnish authors here. --Rosiestep (talk) 13:44, 19 November 2015 (UTC)

I have a feeling that this comes from some categories in fi-wiki, and all the big names who have there their own sub-categories, are missing. --Tappinen (talk) 19:32, 29 September 2016 (UTC)
