Series heading colours edit

Is there any official basis for these, or was it just personal taste? Because the pattern here seems to work well up to about series 12 or so, then it goes off the rails into a load of rather random and muddy shades, not all of which are even that much different between adjacent series.

Would anyone mind if I reworked these, if it doesn't prove to be too huge a task? We should be able to make 24 reasonably attractive and distinct shades from the great palette that's available, and leave some left over for future series after all. Make 8 to 10 basic primary colours then use lighter/darker and more/less saturated versions of such for 9-16/17-24/etc or 11-20/21-24(..30) and so on. 80.189.203.69 (talk) 12:55, 16 October 2014 (UTC)Reply

AlexTheWhovian This one's still being flagged in Category:Episode lists with invalid top colors. I doubt the colors are compliant with #0645AD too... can't we just transclude the episodes from the individual season pages like most articles do instead of this alternating color row stuff? @EvergreenFir: #0645AD is the colour code that I've been comparing the backgrounds too, actually, but yet while they all contrast with a radio of 7 or more, it's still getting flagged.
