Double D is bald

Why dosent i say that on this article in the third to last episode we saw that Double D is bald by the hat being somewhat used as a a hot air balloon the head was revealed compleatly bald although you can only be very, very, very, very eye sitage such as me with glasses to see the split second that double d shows baldness the rest of the time his eyes cover up his bald head so i if the page is not protected am i going to add that —Preceding unsigned comment added by Godzillastar (talkcontribs) 23:22, 7 November 2007 (UTC)

Speculation, he can have short hair. We don't know 100%, so don't put guesses. DietLimeCola 03:32, 8 November 2007 (UTC)

a compramise maybe? how a bout we put this... "double d was revealed to be ABSOULUTLY BALD usually shaves or very short hair" how bout that? —Preceding unsigned comment added by Godzillastar (talkcontribs) 22:54, 8 November 2007 (UTC)

Funny that you are the only person who has seen this. Until something definite is revealed, this has no business in this article. Also, please sign your comments with 4 tildes. -- Elaich talk 02:24, 9 November 2007 (UTC)

Try viewing it frame by frame?--118.92.58.121 (talk) 10:13, 25 February 2008 (UTC)

I've done that with my DVR and i haven't seen any sign of a bald head.--Jspyster1 (talk) 03:08, 26 February 2008 (UTC)

Ok, so speculation about what's under Edd's hat doesn't belong in the article. Fair enough. Edd has never been seen without his head covered up by something, which I think we can all agree. However, as someone who generally watches entire series' in long several-episode sittings (I have a LOT of spare time and I happen to like cartoons), I can say with confidence that EDD DOES NOT always wear the black stocking cap. He has, on occasion, worn other types of hats, and has done so in more than one episode (a red baseball cap once, hard hats on occasion).Vanessaezekowitz (talk) 02:09, 7 February 2009 (UTC)

Le sigh, I don't know what it is about these fanatics, they always are dead sure they're right even when they just might not be and anyone who disagrees is clearly some kind of heretic. Anyway, is this just explaining that Edd doesn't always wear his usual hat? Nothing signifigant, not disputed and barely relevant to if he's bald or not. Don't see why bother maintaining these EEnE articles given the sort who comment on the talkpages. treelo radda 02:21, 7 February 2009 (UTC)

Nobody Knows what lurks under his hat. Though It's Impossible for him to Be bald,I'll give details on this later. Solo28 Solo28 06:05, 14 July 2009 (UTC) —Preceding unsigned comment added by 71.214.43.154 (talk)

Well, we saw how he took a bobby pin out from his hat at least once. Maybe he just has a ridiculous or shocking hairdo

What if Double D was butthead? Ubuntude (talk) 00:01, 15 July 2011 (UTC)

Revert, revert, revert

Today saw outright vandalism from one IP, and then another one did massive rewrites. A few people tried to clean up the mess, but left some stuff that needed to go. In this case, it is always best to revert to the last known good version. This insures that things won't be overlooked. Simply find the last good known version in history, open it, choose to edit that page, and comment it as a revert. -- Elaich talk 03:10, 10 November 2007 (UTC)

-sigh- this kind of crap is STILL going on? DietLimeCola 01:04, 11 November 2007 (UTC)
Welcome back! It's not as bad as it used to be. Both pages have been protected and semi-protected off and on, and with no new episodes, interest in the show seems to be down. It's actually gotten kind of boring. :-) -- Elaich talk 06:26, 11 November 2007 (UTC)
Hah! Well I guess it's because the series is over (except the movie, and unless they actually renew it for that "6th season"). It's also slowly fading off of Cartoon Network's schedule (last time I checked, the only time it aired was on weekdays at 7:00 AM, where as in 2004, it aired about 3 times a day).
It may be fading off quicker than you think. Over the last week I've noticed that, instead of airing Ed, Edd, n Eddy in the 7am slot, they're airing Ben 10 and other such shows. Darn it, CN!! — Cinemaniac (talk) 00:55, 17 November 2007 (UTC)
Glad to be back too, I got fed up with editing last time because of the arguments I was having with members on the other pages. It was annoying getting into arguments with new users over them adding cruft, and ignoring my explanations on to read WP:Cruft. I just felt it wasn't worth it fighting to have a page fixed if some people were just going to edit it again and argue with me some more, creating a never ending cycle. Although a few days ago, I read that god-awful cruft infested Billy and Mandy characters page, and decided to polish it up. Later, I decided to stay around when I read the comments on my talk page about how I was "missed" (haha). Glad to be back. DietLimeCola 12:05, 11 November 2007 (UTC)

Images

This is annoying, what will it take to keep these images from being deleted. We've all provided the copyright information, stating its property of cartoon network, and done everything, yet these bots keep deleting them without a full explanation why. Any ideas, because this is getting really annoying. DietLimeCola 03:46, 15 November 2007 (UTC)

Well, the remaining images are gone. After having read the policy, I cannot see why these images don't fall under fair use, but apparently they don't. -- Elaich talk 14:47, 7 December 2007 (UTC)

Plank or as rolf says the wood

PLANK IS A CHARACTER! proof- he always seems to have some effect on the episode and even the entire series for instanse johhny never figured out eddy was a scammer in the christmas special until plank told him... he was proven to be an alien invader in the eds are coming YES IT COUNTS AS A CANNON or canon which ever one beacuse its the begging of the sixth season and after may it was always presented as an actual episode know the way to prove all of this is that at the end of the invaded billy and mandy plank, pudding, the platypus guy from my gym partneers a monkey, and the walrus and his gang from camp lazlo are undercover aliens... i rest my case... man that was a mouthfull —Preceding unsigned comment added by Godzillastar (talkcontribs) 17:13, 22 November 2007 (UTC)

Even if it does count as canon, that ending only proves that they were aliens, it does not prove if the episodes were canon. - 75.34.99.141 (talk) 04:19, 23 November 2007 (UTC)

The Grim Adventures of Billy and Mandy is not canon to this show, period. Anything regarding the Ed's that is not an actual Ed, Edd 'n Eddy episode (such as Alien invasion ending for "Billy and Mandy Moon the Moon", Ed's cameo in Fosters and the Ed's appearance in The Grim Adventures of the Kids Next Door.) is not canon, unless referenced in an actual Ed, Edd 'n Eddy episode, in which it's never happened. Also, as I've said before, Plank is real IN JONNY's messed up mind. So during that Christmas thing, perhaps Jonny believed Plank was talking to him, but he really wasn't obviously. Wouldn't we hear, you know, voices, instead of Jonny listening to silence? DietLimeCola (talk) 17:18, 24 November 2007 (UTC)

To reiterate DLC's comments, (and as I've also said before) Jonny uses Plank to fuel his erratic behavior patterns. Plank is imaginary. He has never moved on screen unless he was launched or catapulted. He does not speak to, or otherwise affect any other character. -- Elaich talk 18:36, 24 November 2007 (UTC)

To be a character in Ed, Edd n Eddy, one must: 1.Show themselves fully in the show, no parents or Eddy's older brother, no invisible imaginary friends, no ghosts! 2.Be alive with proof! Plank is alive! Jimmy's Mr. Yum Yum isn't alive! 3.Not be an animal! Pigs and goats and chickens not allowed!

THAT MEANS THERE ARE 13 CHARACTERS. NO MORE, NO LESS!!!

 1.Ed
 2.Edd (Double D)
 3.Eddy
 4.Johnny
 5.Rolf
 6.Kevin
 7.Jimmy
 8.Sarah
 9.Naz
10.Plank, my best friend piece of wood (he's alive!!!)
11.Lee
12.Marie
13.May

FINISH!!!

Well, the community does not agree. Where is the proof that Plank is alive? Name ONE INSTANCE where he has been seen to move ON CAMERA, without being slung or catapulted. You can't, because it has never happened.

FINISH!!! -- Elaich talk 19:25, 2 February 2008 (UTC)

Not to say that I think Plank should be counted as a character, but I can name one instance: "Dear Ed". During the party scene at about 9m30s in, as the kids move back and forth in the foreground, Plank can be seen in the background jumping from one seat to another with no apparent help (not even from Jonny, who is several feet away initially).Vanessaezekowitz (talk) 02:57, 7 February 2009 (UTC)

Hey Godzillastar, don't forget that inanimate objects do not count as characters! -- 75.63.2.10 (talk) 00:24, 7 February 2008 (UTC)

Where did all of these technical rules come from defining what does and does not make someone a character for this show and putting only a few people in charge of how things need to be done? Even Cartoon Network considers Plank to a character, so why isn't he/it considered one here? (Ed, Edd n Eddy | Cartoon Network -- Let page load then click on "Characters" and scroll. He has his own section.) He does not have to be alive to be a "character". ("Wilson the Volleyball" in the movie Cast Away is considered to be a character by many without being alive because of the type of "role" that it played. It isn't credited in the film but is credited on IMDB nonetheless.) Sure, Plank is inanimate, but you also don't usually give inanimate objects personal names, have characters talking to them on a regular basis, or focusing the camera on them and then responding as if the object said something. — CobraWiki ( jabber | stuff ) 18:20, 26 June 2009 (UTC)

Not "Fair Use"?

Why are there no images of the characters on the page? I think providing identification would be enough for fair use, wouldn't it? — Cinemaniac (talkcontribs) 17:49, 28 December 2007 (UTC)

There were. Bots deleted every one. Read up this page to see the deletion messages. -- Elaich talk 02:47, 29 December 2007 (UTC)
That's odd. I don't see how these pictures wouldn't qualify as "fair use". . . Oh well. . . — Cinemaniac (talkcontribs) 01:55, 30 December 2007 (UTC)
Ah, good to see pics of the Eds on this page! Now, if only we could work on those citations. . . — Cinemaniac (talkcontribs) 04:09, 1 January 2008 (UTC)

Do not trust your Watchlist

I did, and then discovered that it only shows me the LAST edit made. Beneath that edit were about a dozen vandalisms and fancruft additions. I completely missed those, because i trusted the watchlist. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Elaich (talkcontribs) 06:02, 15 February 2008 (UTC)

I know whatcha mean; after deleting several vandalizing edits from a certain IP, I found out that were many, many more vandalizing additions done before those. It's okay, though; you and I had a few devoted others helping us on this page. Cinemaniac (talkcontribscritique) 16:26, 15 February 2008 (UTC)

Voice Actors?

Usually pages like this have a sentence at the end of the paragraph that goes like: "Jimmy was voiced by Keenan Christansen". Shouldn't this page have that? —Preceding unsigned comment added by 70.123.203.93 (talk) 07:04, 4 March 2008 (UTC)

Do these voice actors have pages? For some of them, whenever I click on a name it redirects me back to the main page. What's up? Mokoniki (talk) 02:37, 18 June 2009 (UTC)Mokoniki

Wikia

I cleaned up the mess over on Wikia simply by cutting and pasting our own character profiles there. If you've ever read that mess over there, you've seen what this page would become if not diligently watched over. In fact, it used to be that way. I know that the purpose of Wikia is different from that of Wikipedia, but at least there is now a good base of information to build on. -- Elaich talk 19:23, 22 March 2008 (UTC)

Also, have you seen what those articles were rated? Most are 4 or 5 stars, pathetic. DietLimeCola (talk) 05:06, 23 March 2008 (UTC)

Hey now, I'm doing my best to clean up the ED Wikia. User:Jspyster1 (talk) 20:03, 1 March 2009 (UTC)

Let's try this again...

That's right, the image thing. I provided all the information it needs to know, and I only uploaded one picture to test. Why 1? Because I don't want the bot to mercilessly delete 10 images I've uploaded, which would equal in lots of wasted time. If it stays up in a few days without the bot complaining "OMG COPYRIGHT CARTOON NETWORK WILL SUE US FOR USING A FAIR USE PICTURE DELETE DELETE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!11111111", then I'll upload the rest. DietLimeCola (talk) 05:15, 23 March 2008 (UTC)

One simple word (sometimes) explains that: list. Fairly obscure part of policy forbids non-free image use in lists though I do think sometimes it stretches to free use images also. Found your obscure chunk in a talk archive when this happened some time back. The part of policy deciding this is WP:NFC#8 which does prohibit lists using NFC as it adds nothing to the list which couldn't have been in the main article. --treelo talk 07:33, 23 March 2008 (UTC)
Another argument for merging the list of characters into the main article. -- Elaich talk 17:35, 23 March 2008 (UTC)
Because you can't use images? That's a pretty weak reasoning. --treelo talk 19:48, 23 March 2008 (UTC)
They serve a purpose, they're supposed to show the reader what the characters look like. DietLimeCola (talk) 20:14, 23 March 2008 (UTC)
Or act as decoration, depends where you come from and/or your stance on non-free images. I'm not certain but if you did merge this list into the main article, would it look cluttered in an attempt to make sure every character gets an image or odd like the image of Nazz does now sitting out there alone. I'd like to see images over verbose descriptions but how do you do it without it looking botched because the writeup for the character is shorter than the image? I'd say aim for group shots over single character images, actually ends up being illustrative of the characters, works for flow as it can be put almost anywhere and also passes the issue with it actually illustrating a point. I'd go for merging if you can cut the length as it's fairly certain to be spun back out to a list again as it's pretty close to the same length as the main article (12Kb to 17Kb). --treelo talk 20:33, 23 March 2008 (UTC)

Talking Sun

There was a talking sun in the invasion episode who said Good day to Jimmy. Anybody who we hear in Ed, Edd n Eddy that talks counts as a character. Talking Sun looked like Danny Antanocci. It's a very simple rule! Any character must be heard talking in front of our own ears!

"Recurring" means showing up more than once, and so this character would not be included on this list. GlassCobra 14:18, 7 April 2008 (UTC)
Also this character is briefly seen in a dream sequence, not exactly noteworthy even if they do speak and the whole "it looks like Danny Antonucci" thing (it doesn't) is original research anyway. treelo talk 14:44, 7 April 2008 (UTC)
Talking Sun was the 13th voice I've heard in Ed, Edd n Eddy! The 13th voice. I wonder who voices him! —Preceding unsigned comment added by 92.12.244.222 (talk) 12:29, 8 April 2008 (UTC)
The sun was voiced by Lupo D. Butcher but I can't see how this is any bit signifigant. --treelo talk 13:04, 8 April 2008 (UTC)
"Lupo D. Butcher" is an inside reference to one of Antonucci's first cartoons Lupo The Butcher. Correct that it is in no way notable for this article. -- Elaich talk 13:11, 8 April 2008 (UTC)
