Merge edit

I believe that Plectu's Fantastic Intergalactic Revue should be merged with this article. The article itself is not very notable, and has been tagged as such, and should just be merged here with other attractions that shouldn't warrant their own articles. Phydend 15:31, 10 March 2007 (UTC)Reply

Redesign edit

I've gone through the page and reorganised it into a number of categories. There's still a lot that could be added, and it could further be tidied up by organised the proposed attractions park as well. Some articles like Beastly Kingdom could be merged into this article? Sources edit

Every item listed on this page needs to have an individual footnote denoting a reliable, reputable, non-blog reference for it. Preferably something officially released from Disney. SpikeJones 11:51, 26 April 2007 (UTC)Reply

No sources for this, just FYI hearsay (which is why it's not in the article), Disney supposedly made an offer for some farmland off Chautauqua Lake for a 'Disney's Winter Wonderland' but the farmer refused to sell the land for non-farming purposes. Michael Eisner's wife was from (I believe) western PA close to this area which led to Eisner's interest in the area, and the Chautauqua Institution was the inspiration for the Disney Institution. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 71.116.59.220 (talk) 18:02, 2 September 2007 (UTC)Reply

I'm working to address these now - I've been out of the wiki for a while, so I need to brush up on my "reliable" sources... :) Tiggerjay (talk) 22:15, 24 April 2008 (UTC)Reply

Recent Changes / Format & Sources edit

I am currently performing a major rework of the formatting and adding sources along the way, working from top to bottom. Feel free to lend a hand and/or comment on the new look - I believe it makes it more usable. Tiggerjay (talk) 19:53, 28 April 2008 (UTC)Reply

It looks good so far, and will definitely improve the article. Nice work. --Mtjaws (talk) 20:18, 28 April 2008 (UTC)Reply
Tables complete -- search-and-replace really made it easy! Now on to the references/source/cite... Tiggerjay (talk) 20:33, 28 April 2008 (UTC)Reply

Image copyright problem with Image:Westcotpainting.jpg edit

The image Image:Westcotpainting.jpg is used in this article under a claim of fair use, but it does not have an adequate explanation for why it meets the requirements for such images when used here. In particular, for each page the image is used on, it must have an explanation linking to that page which explains why it needs to be used on that page. Please check

  • That there is a non-free use rationale on the image's description page for the use in this article.
  • That this article is linked to from the image description page.

Those dead citation links edit

Not exactly sure how Wikipedia handles dead citation links but I am able to get some archived links from archive.org.

Citation 15: http://web.archive.org/web/20130527163140/http://www.theneverlandfiles.com/tnf/disneyworld/epcot.php

Citation 23: http://web.archive.org/web/20120622120144/http://www.theneverlandfiles.com/tnf/disneyland/geysermountain.php

Citation 31: http://web.archive.org/web/20130527163108/http://www.theneverlandfiles.com/tnf/disneyland/dumboscircusland.php

Single External Link on Page: http://web.archive.org/web/20130517221906/http://www.theneverlandfiles.com/tnf/

It looks like the site went down around September or October of 2013 according to archive.org and it appears it will forever be down since everything after that results in dead links. Archive.org is better than no source at all which is what we basically have right now. --Cuber456 (talk) 11:02, 16 January 2015 (UTC)Reply

@Cuber456: Thank-you Cuber456 for finding the archives. Archive.org is very useful for keeping references alive and is 100% allowed to be used on Wikipedia. I'll add the archives when I get a chance (unless someone beats me to it).--Dom497 (talk) 17:12, 17 January 2015 (UTC)Reply

Unsourced Info. edit

May I remove the unsourced information on this page? Some of the info. looks fake. Mr. Johnson of Mars (talk) 00:11, 3 March 2019 (UTC)00:11, 3 March 2019 (UTC)~~Reply

Offhand Disney has debunked one of the rides; removed edit

The page claimed a bullet train ride at Epcot's Japan Pavilion, and a Godzilla-themed bullet train ride. Both are sourced to a dead website with no mention of the rides in the archived version. But moreso, the creator of the dead website denies the Godzilla one in a new Offhand Disney video.

It's only a "for starters," but I've deleted the one he specifically denied. -- Zanimum (talk) 20:38, 21 October 2023 (UTC)Reply

Ski Resort That Never Was edit

Someone want to add this?

Book: Disneyland on the Mountain: Walt, the Environmentalists, and the Ski Resort That Never Was by Greg Glasgow and Kathryn Mayer

Disneyland on the Mountain is an in-depth look at Walt Disney's last, unfinished project--Mineral King, a Disneyland-like ski resort--and the controversy that surrounded it, including the budding environmental movement that made sure the resort never saw the light of day. M.mk (talk) 19:29, 12 November 2023 (UTC)Reply

I see there is this in the Mineral King entry:

I did my best to add an entry for this under "Resort attractions." M.mk (talk) 15:15, 24 November 2023 (UTC)Reply
