editAfD result
editI closed the deletion discussion as speedy keep per the fifth criteria, a procedural close as the article is currently linked on the main page. The discussion can be restarted once this is no longer the case, though I would note that the consensus looked already to be heading for a merge, and an AfD is not required for a merge discussion.--JohnBlackburnewordsdeeds 23:56, 23 November 2011 (UTC)
Un-Merge
editThere are numerous examples of lists like these in Major League Baseball, National Football League, National Hockey League, European soccer teams, and even other MLS teams (D.C. United). Why does this one need merged while the other ones stay. Also, by keeping all of this info in the main article, it becomes rather long and out of focus. The Crew article is about the club as a whole, but adding the historical info about the coaches is not really relevant to the current article. InTheAM 15:45, 24 November 2011 (UTC)
- Yes, there are numerous examples of lists like these in Major League Baseball, National Football League, National Hockey League, European soccer teams, and even other MLS teams. However, most if not all of these have more than six entries on the list. See List of Seattle Mariners managers, List of Philadelphia Eagles head coaches, List of Philadelphia Flyers head coaches, and List of Manchester United F.C. managers. Keeping the small list and key on the main page wouldn't take up much space or add many bytes. As for the DC United page, that list could probably be merged given the number of head coaches. - There are short ones that are featured list status, like the Miami Marlins list. Plus, there is information in the article that would not belong in the main Columbus Crew article. InTheAM 19:41, 24 November 2011 (UTC)
