47701 edit

In 1992, 47701 carried the "Old Oak Common" name and had Network South East livery. See https://youtube.com/watch?v=sYq9YoxIU1k at 12m 55s onwards. - 79.74.138.230 (talk) 20:20, 18 May 2019 (UTC)Reply

Added to page. Murgatroyd49 (talk) 14:35, 30 May 2019 (UTC)Reply

Commons Links edit

I've put |<!--{{Commons category-icon|British Rail Class 47 Dxxxx (TOPS 47xxx, 47yyy)}}--> at the end of each entry. To convert this to a Commons link just replace the xs and ys and remove the comment tags. Extra identities need to be added as needed. Railwayfan2005 (talk) 14:22, 1 May 2021 (UTC)Reply

Order dates edit

Does the the order dates column serve any purpose here, it is more relevant to the main article British Rail Class 47. In service dates would be of more use if anyone knows of a reliable source. Murgatroyd49 (talk) 08:56, 16 May 2021 (UTC)Reply

I've added a new section showing the different orders and deleted the column from the main table will helps makes things clearer to read.Murgatroyd49 (talk) 18:19, 18 May 2021 (UTC)Reply

Unofficial Names edit

My original webpage that was the genesis for this article used italics to show unofficial names. However over the years several editors have added official names in italics, as that is the convention on Wikipedia. To avoid further confusion I have tagged the unofficial names with <ref name=unofficial /> and will progressively italicise all the names. Hope that is acceptable.
