What happened at Kamioki Island
editFirst there was a test of the thought-wave weapon; then, afterward, there was an explosion on the Blue that killed Onomil. Evidence: Hagino flies over the island and sees the many corpses of the islanders strewn everywhere. The explosion aboard the Blue occurs only after the islanders have already died. We can logically conclude that there was an initial test of the thought-wave weapon, followed by an explosion to cover up the test.
