Can we transform the list into something similar to the modern rock tracks list?
editYou know, rather than just a plain list, maybe a listing of the #1 song for each week. It might look better as well, and while we're at it, maybe create a category for #1 Mainstream Rock hits? Maplejet 18:40, 16 February 2007 (UTC)
- I would support this idea, although someone would need to research each chart for instances of songs dropping then returning to #1. - eo 22:31, 21 June 2007 (UTC)
- I second that and recently I did a box who list the number-one songs of the Mainstream Rock Tracks chart for it --Sd-100 (talk) 15:47, 14 September 2008 (UTC)
Why is 2007 in a table?
editIt messes up the formatting of the article. Either they should all be in tables or all lists. The way it is now makes the article looks disjointed. - eo 22:31, 21 June 2007 (UTC)
Frequency of number ones
editWhat meaningful or relevant information is to be derived from this table? It seems pointless and, in itself, doesn't represent any useful measure of chart performance. I propose deleting this section. Even if a count of #1 songs by year is desired, couldn't this be accomplished by simply changing the yearly list of songs to an ordered list? Concerned about accuracy - Oh Sherrie
editIn 1984, "Oh Sherrie" is shown to be a #1 for two weeks, but I can't find a valid reference for this. Here is the artist chart for Steve Perry at Billboard, it only shows "Oh Sherrie" on the Hot 100 not the MRT chart. Anybody? --Sc straker (talk) 00:42, 27 April 2008 (UTC)
Chart reliability
editTheirs now way to prove that any of the songs hit number on or not none of this is verifiable, and without resources all this means nothing.Feedmyeyes (talk) 19:52, 2 August 2010 (UTC)
