OMI's Cheerleader
editShould it be 'Cheerleader' or 'Cheerleader (Felix Jaehn Remix)'? Billboard itself doesn't mark it as a remix version.---Jason211pacem (talk) 02:37, 14 July 2015 (UTC)
- Just "Cheerleader", unless Billboard lists it with a specific remix. - eo (talk) 14:54, 14 July 2015 (UTC)
- That's true but I don't understand why Billboard credited Britney Spears on "S&M" in the Rihanna's #1 (Spears was only in the remix version) and the magazine didn't do the same with Felix Jaehn and its remix. It's pretty obvious that the original OMI version isn't famous at all. — Preceding unsigned comment added by DavidReyAlvite (talk • contribs) 19:49, 14 July 2015 (UTC)
- Don't know why either – Billboard consults record companies and management, etc. to credit featured artists (sometimes performers are omitted) and list titles as they want them. They also have their own methodologies for combining (or separating) chart points for different versions. "S&M" had the one week in which the remix outsold everything else (thus Britney); "Macarena" charted separately in its original Spanish version and Bayside Boys Remix, there are other weird examples, I'm sure... but as this Wiki article is a reflection of how it charts in Billboard I'd say it's best to stick with how the magazine lists it. - eo (talk) 11:38, 15 July 2015 (UTC)
