Miriam Schmierer last australian person born before the foundation of the Commonwealth of Australia?
editIt's something I thought about. As there is no claim for another living australian person born in 1899 and as I cannot find any article in the internet for someone born in Australia in 1900 who is still alive (the only one I found is about a woman called Nelly B. who reached 108 in the september of 2008, but another article mentioned that she died at this age), the second and third oldest australians seem to be Mary Rothenstein and Claude Stanley Choules, both born after 1. January 1901. So if I'm correct, Ms. Schmierer would be the last australian born before the foundation of the Commonwealth of Australia. I think this is worth to be mentioned in an own article about her or at least on this page. So, if anyone knows someone still alive born in Australia in 1900 he or she should tell it here, otherwise I think it should be mentioned as I wrote.— Preceding unsigned comment added by 79.213.97.42 (talk) 12:06, 2 May 201 (UTC)
Who needs a "sort" table for "rank"?
editLast I checked, 1 always comes ahead of 2. 76.17.118.157 (talk) 07:22, 25 August 2010 (UTC)
The table has numerous columns so people who are interested can sort by other columns other than rank. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Crveni5 (talk • contribs) 03:19, 16 September 2015 (UTC)
"State" of birth
editRegarding the heading State or country of birth, the States did not exist; and it should be "colony". For example it specifically says "Russian Empire ... now part of Russia".Alan Davidson (talk) 03:38, 30 March 2011 (UTC)

Chronological list of the oldest living person in Australia
editWho removed this information and why? — Preceding unsigned comment added by Crveni5 (talk • contribs) 03:20, 16 September 2015 (UTC)
- I did because it they're being removed from this suite of articles because in general, they're not sourced. Ca2james (talk) 03:26, 16 September 2015 (UTC)
Why is this article being considered for deletion?
editWhy are articles related to longevity always causing so much angst on Wikipedia? Does it bother somebody that people are interested in those who have lived much longer than the average lifespan? Are these achievements not worth noting? I am gob smacked that we need to continually fight to keep these articles intact and present on Wikipedia. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Crveni5 (talk • contribs) 01:54, 7 December 2015 (UTC)
What to do when I know someone on the list passed away?
editI often edit Wikipedia but I'm no good with tables and ranking. I am a personal friend of (the late) Marjorie Cooke who sadly passed away 1 Sep 2017 at 8:30PM this was disclosed by the home she was living in.— Preceding unsigned comment added by Frotronic (talk • contribs) 12:39, 2 September 2017 (UTC)
